One of the best nights sleep I've had in a hotel. Lovely staf and great food.
Good pool facilities and friendly staff
Expensive house wine and not a good quality
They allowed the dog to stay, the breakfast was very good, the room was clean and comfortable
The wifi, as it was not explained properly
staff helpfulness ,hotel nice
food in restaurant was poor
This is a good place for a conference but not really for a long weekend break. The staff were very helpfull at all times,a credit for this place.
The security for businesses having your own wi fi code for each device . Restaurant food excellent and buffet breakfast. Staff helpful and rooms clean and everything supplied.
Only one thing bar prices little bit high. But did not spoil visit.
bed and swimming pool
Comfortable modern room, ample car parking and a good breakfast.
Evening meal, one of those days you fancy something traditional that no one can mess up, fish and chips.Fish was grey and tasteless and the batter was a wet soggy mess. If they ran a chip shop they would be out of business by the weekend.Complained to the waiter, the staff on signing the bill but only got a reduction when I challenged it again on checkout. Come on chef get your fat up to temperature and serve fresh.
comfort Food Staff
bit awkward to find
The spa facilities were very good. The staff were also helpful and friendly. Our friends, who had a dog, were very happy that the hotel was pet friendly.
The burger in the restaurant was not good, very dry and did not taste good at all. The mark up on wine, like most hotels/restaurants was ridiculous. £25 for a bottle of red that costs less than £6 in a supermarket. Limited selection of beer, Boddingtons (on tap) or bottles of 'Speckled Hen'.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times now as we have family in the area. The most outstanding thing is the staff and the level of service. I use a wheelchair and everyone is so discretely helpful. The restaurant food is excellent and great value for money. We have taken other people to eat there on a few occasions and there is a good choice andeveryone enjoyed their meals.
No negative comments
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and we were happy overall.
I got bitten by bed bugs and still have the marks to show.
Comfortable, elegant hotel.
Nothing to comment on.
restaurant is poor and given its location there is no where else to go drink prices were extremely high: £4.75 for a bottle of ale.
Friendly staff Nice clean hotel Very quiet A lot of facilities e.g. meeting room etc
As it is out of town, nowhere is within walking distance, you will need a taxi to get around Restaurant is a bit pricey
all pretty good, wifi had an excellent bandwidth, able to watch live tv online, no buffering!.
only 5 channels offered on the tv, how strange....weather was bad that night so the signal kept dropping out
Cost of meals
Friendly staff Location Facilities
Food in restaurant (lamb curry was a let down...poor quality meat used)
Excellent bar meal
Lounge area rather dreary. Shower/bath control not very intuitive. Long mirror situated in very poor light.
Good facilities with large grounds in a nice area for walking too? Leisure facilities are good. Staff very accommodating. Well laid out and spacious.
This is primarily a conference venue so leisure travellers can sometimes be swamped by delegates. Bar prices are very high indeed, probably due to captive nature of client on courses there?
buffet service in restaurant
long wait for reception staff to become free in order to allow us access to fitness centre.Reception staff were good but more often then not single manned.
Staff were all friendly and welcoming, very clean. Leisure facilities were excellent.
The prices of drinks seemed very high.
terrible dinner quality. Typical british food quality, sorry for the British, I don't want to insult.
Very poor value for money. A huge and busy conference venue.De-personalised. The food was rubbish in particular. Bruscietta for £6.50 was soggy with tomatoes from a tin. Yuk.
