What a fantastic hotel! Stayed 28th-30th December. The area itself is stunningly magical! After getting off a 5 hour train ride from Edinburgh, it was a huge relief to see the hotel across the road from the station! No maps needed! I'm vegetarian and the options were so tasty! I'm sitting here craving the dishes! Had the nicest home made 3 course meal at the hotel for a great price. Had never been to Fort William, will visit again in future. Hotel entertainment was lovely and it had a community feel. 5/5! Thank you so much for a nice/comfortable stay, the facilities were perfect especially after hours of trekking all you want is a good nights sleep, I certainly got that! See you again :)
Staff were amazing!! Entertaining kids during breakfast, Friendly and helpful. I left something in room and they said they would post to Australia for me. Very happy with service and atmosphere staff create
Some of the fixtures and fittings are tired and need replacing. However, it adds to the character
Very comfortable and excellent meals
The staff were helpful and welcoming.
The bedrooms were a bit dated
Frendly staff food good good location
Bedroom dated shower over bath, bathroom needs refurbished and updated
Great location and staff are excellent. Restaurant in morning was excellent for breakfast. Good value for money hotel.
Meal at night was completely overcooked in Foodstop. Decor is getting a bit dated and rooms could do with an upgrade although still comfortable.
All the staff were really friendly and the room was reasonable clean had basic facilities
However there was allot of noise from other residents late at night. The mattress was uncomfortable and the room had imperfections such as chipped paint from the walls. I found the hotel quiet old fashioned
one of our party was offered a room that had not been cleaned with dirty towels lying in room dirty paper tissue lying on an unmade bed.quite unacceptable considering the costs they were charging.
beautiful location easy parking clean and quite nice staff
wifi only available in a small area near reception.
have free hot water and coffee for drinking on the ground floor. cosy common room.
no wifi in the bedroom
Convenient location, good parking, warm and friendly.
The breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly.
All of the hotel is very dated, was advertised as sea view but window looked directly onto Morrison's and railway station so couldn't see the sea. If I lent on window ledge and looked left I could see the very edge of the loch. Bed sheet was also stained but by time we discovered this was too late to call reception for it to be replaced.
Good location help full staff and atmosphere great food, have previously and will again recomend VERY HIGHLY RECOMENDED
The lift is small
Shower was not working. We needed to go to another room to take a shower.
The mattress wasn't too comfortable but the overall relaxed atmosphere more than made u
Awful kettle.Dirty floor.
After a long journey from Manchester we received a warm welcome from the friendly helpful staff, and was allocated a clean comfortable room. We both slept well in the comfy beds, and enjoyed a hearty breakfast before going out for days out. Will definitely stay again!
The room was cosy And warm. The t.v was easy to use.staff were very friendly and polite.
Wasn't impressed with the standard of decor. Could do with a refurb.
Hotel generally needs some care and attention to maintence.
Excellent location for visiting nearby tourist spots. Large and quiet room. Good breakfast. Good value for money. Plenty of parking spaces. Very close to local pubs. Free leisure facilities were excellent although about a mile away.
Local party group first and hotel guests must give way to them without prior notice - we were asked to leave the lounge for the party. If they gave us prior notice we would not have gone to the lounge to log on the wifi. We felt undignified to be asked to leave! Fire place in lounge was not working. One of the receptionists was not friendly at all. Lovely looking fire place but did not work as the receptionist told us.
Great location, close to Ben Nevis. Comfortable, great staff :-)
Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed. Relaxed but efficient atmosphere.
Friendly staff, good breakfast selection, very central to the train and bus stations. Room was big and the beds were comfy.
