The location is excellent. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly especially the staff in the dining room dealing with breakast. 1 person on the desk was rather brisk and, although not rude, not exactly sympathetic. Although the hotel had internet access if you had your own laptop, it did not have a computer guests could use so internet access was not possible. |

Handy for train and bus stations and for exploring the town. Beds and lounges comfortable. Food, both at breakfast and dinner, was only luke warm as was the coffee. |

A very comfortable stay, close to the railway station and bus station and easy reach of the town. The evening meals were good value in a dining room atmosphere. Lots of coach visitors staying overnight, best to ask the dining room staff when to breakfast otherwise a queue. |

Friendly and helpful staff. Cleanliness an obvious priority. A bit too expensive for basic B&B |

Friendly staff, good breakfast, convenient location across the road from the railway station and close to the town centre. Beds were very uncomfortable and there were three single beds instead of a double and a single for two adults and one child. |

I have stopped here once or twice a year for the past 8 years. Great location for touring on my motorbike. I asked for a table on my own in the restaurant. It took 3 people to tell me to come back in 30 minutes even though there were empty tables. I have been to this hotel many time and this was the first bad experience. |

English breakfast was good. The room had good size. The hotel is quite noisy and I had really bad nigth interrupted by drunk neighbours shouting. When I check out, I complain about it. The staff was arrogant. |

Bedroom very nice and twin rather than single. Also relatively central with good access to town. Evening meal was poor. Also, I paid the bill in full - was this correct (i.e. will you obtain your commission from the hotel rather than me - I am obviously not wanting to pay twice for my accommodation)? |

The breakfast was great. The place could use a renovation though... all in all, not bad. |

The location was perfect, the staff made us feel at ease, and the tariff was appropriate. While the food generally was good the shank of lamb was abominable! |

The room was very well laid out, the beds very comfortable. We also enjoyed the view from the windows. The staff were most efficient and helpful. I would definitely recommend it and hope to return. Would be glad to be contacted if special price deals available. Only that we had insufficient time to take advantage of the related spa facilities which I thought were an excellent and generous free service. The only thing was the dinner prices were a little too high for our budget. |
