Bed was very comfy Staff friendly
Strange smell in hallways
The location is good and the room had a king size bed.
Their De Lux room had no bath, just a very small shower cubicle. There was no wardrobe only a short hanging rail fastened to the room wall. The deco was also a bit drab. By far the worse 4 Star accomadation we have ever stayed in.
Staff a little ignorant.
Friendly staff and near to shops and bars
Comfy beds, location
The noise from above. Every morning at 5.30am it sounded like someone was going to come through our ceiling, think we were under the staff living accommodation. The restaurant was also closed but we were not told in advance which was disappointing.
How friendly & helpful the lady was on first introduction & this continued throughout my stay
Owners were ok, pleasant enough, room was adequate. Breakfast was pretty good.
Weren't doing food as it was a Sunday night, limited options locally. Thin walls to rooms, so found it quite noisy and didn't sleep well.
Our bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern. The breakfast was good.
There were no facilities at the hotel. Very, very small lounge/bar area and we entered and exited the hotel by a separate door not through the main door. More a B & B than 'hotel'
Location Bed Staff Bathroom lights
Great Location - near main shopping centre, bus/train station & the sea-front. Comfortable bed Great bath towels/
Incompetent receptionist No hairdryer in room (have to request from reception) Cold room during the night Room only at £50 is a rip-off! Awful unsafe dodgy ramp at entrance/exit for guests. Average shower.
Chap who runs hotel was very pleasant and helpful.
Badly in need of a makeover but still value for money!
It had a small kitchenette in room which is great for families or long stays
Staff lovely, location excellent.
Rooms incredibly small, window opened onto the roof where the A/C unit whirred all night, parking very poor indeed.
The owners especially the dog and the breakfast was superb best poached eggs ever!
Paint fumes although we do fully understand the owners are working very hard to improve things!
It is in a excellent location. For what you pay it certainly offers good value. Clean and comfortable. I like the fact that there is a kettle and microwave in the room. Quiet enough for good nights sleep. Hassle free check in and out.
Lovely place and in a great area....good value for money
cleanly,quiet,accessable,and great room facilities
no glasses or cuttlery in rooms.but on the bright side we had a whisk and a wooden spoon
The noise made by other guests running up and down the corridor shouting.
Was never given times for breakfast served from and till, Me my partner and three children arrived down stairs the next morning for breakfast at 9:35 to be told we were to late and there was nothing they would do about it. We had paid in cash upfront when checking in but the refused to refund the breakfast money. We ended up having to go out to find somewhere open on a Sunday morning to get the children breakfast and pay again. VERY UNREASONABLE
Heating was not on so was a little cold but still good value and would Defo go back
The view from our front bay window. The huge comfy bed. The big fluffy towels The free parking. The lovely breakfast lady. The willingness of the staff. The new carpet, laid while we were there. The brilliant location - an easy walk into town.
The bathroom lighting. The lack of glasses. The difficulty in plugging in the kettle. The tight access in the car park area. The lights in the kitchen cupboard did not seem to be working.
Staff were nice
Saying it is 4 star it's 2
friendly staff, good value for money breakfast.
No pillow or mattress protectors, they should come as standard in all types of accommodation whatever the price. cramped car park.
Car parking on site not possible as car park small. Very noisy. Smoke detector in the room covered by a plastic bag. The room was cold with one small radiator behind the headboard of the bed. Not able to have a drink as the kettle had bits in the bottom that would not swill out. Shelf in the bathroom hanging loose so un-usable. Pedal bin broken. View from our room was a two foot square of concrete with plastic bags and cigarette ends on the floor.
Location is good, right on the promenade, not too expensive.
Being woken up by vacuum cleaners at 8am and 9:20 on a Sunday morning. I don't understand why places insist on doing this - If you want to go out on Saturday night don't plan on any kind of lie in.
