The breakfast! Nearness to train stations but very quiet!
Climbing all the stairs to room with suitcases
Good English breakfast. Close to St Pancreas station
Too hot in the shower room and would of preferred a room on a lower floor, was on the top floor.
My accomodation at the down ground basement of the Alhambra Hotel was marked as upgraded staying by the hotel staff. Room somewhat claustrofobic, poor breakfast.
Wifi would go in and out. Wasn't very strong. Expensive for bad wifi.
- excellent location - wide choice of pubs and restaurants nearby - good value for money
- small staircases, no elevator - multiple buildings (you have to cross the street to have breakfast in the main building) - no buffet breakfast
The English breakfast every morning.
Only one toilet and one bathroom for the whole of third floor. No lifts and narrow steep stairs. Very slow internet speeds. Blackout happened at least twice on the third floor. It happened when I was about to pack up.
Small room, stairs
The breakfast was good however you could only select a full English breakfast or continental.
The room was in the basement in room 17 which was very small with a window looking out onto a fire escape area. No security of window and entry could be gained from fire escape area. The bathroom was tiny with no shower screen which allowed the water to splash into the rest of the bathroom.
The location is good with easy access to central london and transport network, room was small but was very comfortable and the breakfast was well presented
It was very clean and the breakfast was great!
The too floor was abit noisy with people opening and shutting doors all the time to use the shared bathroom facilities
Cleanliness, location, friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable.
Tiny bathroom, uncurtained window onto street on ground floor room
noisy because it's near th erailway station
the room was on the street at the ground floor outside of the door there was a sort of storage for beds and sheets to clean. Not the best thing to see
The saving grace in this hotel is the hot-cooked breakfast served by cheerful and efficient staff...what a contrast from the receptionist. Location is good, especially if you are taking a train at St Pancras or Kings Cross. However, there are several other small boutique hotels you may want to consider instead.
1. Cool reception upon check-in. Curt, impersonal and transactional. 2. Be prepared to climb up a steep narrow stairway if you are given a room in the upper floor. 3. Shared toilet and shower 4. Room is tiny, and bedcover has seen better days. It looked and felt soiled. 5. When your neighbour-guests shut their room door, your walls will shudder. If you are unlucky and get a room next to the toilet, good luck! the toilet and shower room doors will bang against your room door if user
PROXIMITY TO RAIL AND BUS, BREAKFAST EXCELLENT , MANAGER VERY PROFESSIONAL , CLEANLINESS
SIZE OF ROOM ,ESP BATHROOM.
Stay here a few time a year when on business. Always clean and warm. Excellent location for my needs.
Good value for money, centrally located, clean, safe, Free wi-fi and decent breakfast
Hotel staff was a bit lazy and not always eager to help.
Great Location, quiet room
Room and bath very small
The hotel was in a good location very clean. Good breakfast.
Location for railway and catching Eurostar
Staff rude, particularly breakfast people. The breakfast was terrible. Tv didn't work, light globe out in room, no attempt to help with luggage just pointed in direction of room which was over the road. Doors banging, floors squeaking and heavy footsteps going up stairs above me. The noise of the underground could be heard too. I don't know why you would stay here unless you were catching a train at St Pancras.
Proximity to train stations made exploring London easy. Room small but very clean and comfortable. Staff professional and helpful. Slept well in a our room - located on first floor and at back of hotel. Good breakfast.
Price probably a bit on the high side - but felt it was a safe place to stay with my daughter so worth it.
Excellent location for Eurostar; clean; very helpful staff
Very small room; expensive for what was offered.
Staff and owners were exceptional, very polite and easy to get on with :) Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Location for our needs was brilliant The things we didn't like are for comment only. We knew what we were buying in to when reserving and have no complaints
1.Three flights of stairs to access bedroom whilst carrying a case. 2. Room was in separate building across the road from main hotel - thankfully it was not raining when we went for breakfast in the main hotel 3.English Breakfast was rationed: one slice bacon, one sausage, one egg, measured baked beans and mushrooms - perfectly palatable, but this was financial control at its extreme.
Friendly staff, breakfast was good, triple room is big enough, only 2 minutes from King's Cross Station, the shower is very good, very clean. Recommend for a short stay in London.
small bathroom, sink outside the bathroom, if you leave the window open at night be careful of the sirens that might go in the early hours (but I understand this is not the hotel's fault).
Price, close to train station
