The hotel room we had was a double room, it was a small room but well laid out. A double bed, sink, vanity area, wardrobe & bedside table were all well fitted into the small room. It was very clean, tidy & included a kettle with tea & coffee. We opted for a shared toilet & shower...both of these were very clean and I did not feel uneasy using them. Breakfast was fab, lovely full-breakfast with option for cereal, orange juice and tea/coffee. Staff were all lovely & polite. I have previously stayed here and would do so again. Its not posh by any means but then what would you expect for the price!?! Would recommend this budget hotel to anyone on a budget! :0)

The Alhambra Hotel is extremely close to Kings Cross and St Pancras, so perfect when travelling by train. Rooms very warm and comfortable and with a really good breakfast included in the price. Staff are very friendly and helpful, we travelled with our 6 year old grandson and he was made as welcome as we were. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The location is great for the tube station at King's Cross, so you are well connected and can be in the centre of London in a few minutes. The rooms are fairly small and the buildings are old but they are refurbished. Wifi provided. Stairs are creaky in all buildings and, as you'd expect from a building near the rail/tube station, rail-noises can be heard most of the time, so not good for light sleepers. Breakfast is served in a small room with not enough capacity for all at 8am, so you have to wait outside the dining room entrance-if you can afford the time!

Staff are really friendly and included breakfast is fast and made to order. My room had just been painted so it still smelt somewhat on the first two nights.

Have made a great job of converting a typical set of terrace London properties into a good value boutique hotel. A bit cramped and like sardines at breakfast. Noisey despite requesting a quiet room - plumbing seems to have missed out on sound-proofing when converted and elephants above don't help either.

Staff were polite and helpful. Very near to King's Cross St Pancras Underground and Train station. Plenty of food outlets near the hotel. The English breakfast was delicious. There is no lift in this hotel so it depends on which floor you have been allocated, you will have to carry your luggage up. The luggage deposit also did not have any receipt/acknowledgement. Basically, you just have to put your own luggage outside the restaurant area at your own risk.

My wife and I have stayed at the Alhambra previously and we have always found it is well situated for the rail stations and it certainly meets our needs. We will certainly use it again. I had booked an early call for 5.00am and was advised I would receive a knock on my bedroom door. Fortunately, I had also set the alarm clock on my mobile phone and this worked perfectly. I did not receive the promised alarm knock on the door.

The entrance and reception areas set the tone for the hotel, which was bright, clean and very well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast area is bright and cheerful looking, breakfast was nicely cooked and well presented. A very good location with public transport close at hand. Accommodation is a little bit cramped, and our basement room suffered from the noise of the frequent underground trains. Although as this ceases about midnight it did not affevct our sleep.

Really well located, literally across the road from St Pancras station (less than 3 minutes on foot), which is convenient for early morning / late night Eurostar connections. Also close to Kings Cross and Euston Rd for local bus/tube/rail (bus stop and tube station all within 2 minutes on foot). The hotel is appropriate to its price. Overall, it's quite clean and I appreciated this, given that most reviews of other hotels in the area reported poor level of cleanness. The staff was very friendly and was able to accommodate my needs for a late checkin and early checkout. I wasn't able to have the included breakfast due to a tight schedule, but the food on other guests' tables made me regret this: it looked good. The overall level of cleanness was really good, but there is some small margin for further improvement. The bed blankets had some spots that looked like cigarette burns, or some other kind of stain. The common shower on my level did not drain properly, but it was not a great problem as I was able to use the common showers on other levels, as per the staff's suggestion.

The staff were fabulous. Every person I spoke to in the course of my week staying at this hotel was kind, courteous and helpful. You really got the impression that it was a family establishment, and they genuinely wanted to make your stay a happy one. I hate to admit it, but I also love the breakfasts! Its one of the reasons I keep coming back to the Alhambra over other similar hotels in the area. The location is great, staff friendly, rooms clean and well maintained, and the hotel is basic but comfortable. This is exactly how a small, budget hotel should be run. It is a basic hotel, with lots of stairs, no lift. But if you are travelling with a lot of luggage, you might want to request to be on a lower floor. Rooms are small (don't let this put you off, as its what you have to expect in London).

I have stayed at the Alhambra twice now and find the hotel consistently good. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the service they provide especially at breakfast time is brilliant. Breakfast is always good and no waiting - full English cooked perfectly every day with plenty of toast, juice and tea/coffee or Continental also good choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc. The room I had this time was lovely as it was on the back of the property thus a bit quieter as front rooms do get some noise from the street being in a busy area such as Kings Cross. The latter is a bonus however as the tube is literally about 100 yards away. Eurostar and mainline stations also are that close so really good for foreign travelling. Very comfy beds and clean rooms. I can't do stairs due to health problems and there are no lifts but requested a room with not too many stairs and was accommodated nicely. As I have to travel up every few months to London will definitely use Alhambra as my hotel. I have to struggle to find anything I didn't like but if I had to I would ask for a more comfortable chair in the room as when watching tv it was not very comfortable.

Spotlessly clean, cooked breakfast good quality, wireless connection worked well. For this price other hotels often have nasty surprises (unclean rooms, bad food, etc). Location directly by St. Pancras is idea. I will remember this hotel and stay again when I'm in London. It didn't bother me, but my room was next to the road, which was quite noisy. Not sure if the hotel has rooms that don't face the road.

The location is really good, just in front of Kings Cross train/underground station. The staff is very nice and polite. The bedroom is very clean. It was my fourth visit to London and it was the best hotel that I booked. The breakfast time is too early and the bedroom was a little bit small.

Excellent location The wifi signal is quite weak. And there is no elevator in the hotel. We needed to carry our luggages all the way up to 2nd floor.

“The staff at Crestfield were absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small as are all London hotels that are affordable, but I didn't mind it at all. The best part of staying at the Crestfield Hotel is the location. It is a block away from the King's Cross tube stop, which is in the heart of the city. Also, the Pancras International train station is there as well, making easy to grab a train to France/Belgium and the rest of Europe. Can't beat it!” Tony, Studio City |
