Score from 1641 reviews Very good
noisy because it's near th erailway station
the room was on the street at the ground floor outside of the door there was a sort of storage for beds and sheets to clean. Not the best thing to see
The saving grace in this hotel is the hot-cooked breakfast served by cheerful and efficient staff...what a contrast from the receptionist. Location is good, especially if you are taking a train at St Pancras or Kings Cross. However, there are several other small boutique hotels you may want to consider instead.
1. Cool reception upon check-in. Curt, impersonal and transactional. 2. Be prepared to climb up a steep narrow stairway if you are given a room in the upper floor. 3. Shared toilet and shower 4. Room is tiny, and bedcover has seen better days. It looked and felt soiled. 5. When your neighbour-guests shut their room door, your walls will shudder. If you are unlucky and get a room next to the toilet, good luck! the toilet and shower room doors will bang against your room door if user
PROXIMITY TO RAIL AND BUS, BREAKFAST EXCELLENT , MANAGER VERY PROFESSIONAL , CLEANLINESS
SIZE OF ROOM ,ESP BATHROOM.
Stay here a few time a year when on business. Always clean and warm. Excellent location for my needs.
Good value for money, centrally located, clean, safe, Free wi-fi and decent breakfast
Hotel staff was a bit lazy and not always eager to help.
Great Location, quiet room
Room and bath very small
The hotel was in a good location very clean. Good breakfast.
Proximity to train stations made exploring London easy. Room small but very clean and comfortable. Staff professional and helpful. Slept well in a our room - located on first floor and at back of hotel. Good breakfast.
Price probably a bit on the high side - but felt it was a safe place to stay with my daughter so worth it.
Friendly staff, breakfast was good, triple room is big enough, only 2 minutes from King's Cross Station, the shower is very good, very clean. Recommend for a short stay in London.
small bathroom, sink outside the bathroom, if you leave the window open at night be careful of the sirens that might go in the early hours (but I understand this is not the hotel's fault).
Location next to Kings Cross Station. We spent only an overnight while waiting for a train to Edinburgh. Small room, but adequate for its purpose. Good breakfast. Personable staff.
Very small room. Would not recommend for an extended stay, or if driving a car.
Small but well thought out rooms.
close to St Pancras station
the noise you can hear from the room upstairs. Very small rooms for 4!
Warm welcome from reception, which continued with the rest of the staff throughout the visit. Brilliant breakfast with a variety of choice. Location is central, literally a 30 second walk away from St Pancras station.
Room was located on the top floor, with the third flight of stairs being a little too steep - My legs didn't seem to appreciate them after a long day of exploring London :)
Very good location. Room is small but everything is just fine for guest in transit.
Most everything else. Not worth the cost, even allowing for London pricing.
We stayed just one night and needed to be close to St Pancras/Kings Cross so the Alhambra location was perfect. We had a standard double room. It was clean, the shared toilet and shower room were fine (fairly large shower) and the bed was comfortable. Didn't get up in time for breakfast I'm afraid so I can't comment on that!
There is no lift, but that is understandable in this kind of terraced building.
Small room with high price.
Great location, good breakfast.
The wifi sometimes dropped. Rooms are a bit small.
Staff were helpful and efficient, especially manager. Location is excellent. Ideal for staying one night to connect with train, but not good for longer stays
Room in the roof in the annexe too small for 2 people. Minimal clothes storage. Shower room too small to dry myself in, and hit my knees on washbasin when using toilet. Sometimes queue for breakfast, so you felt that you had to eat and leave quickly. No sound insulation so noisy when guests came in. Staircase steep and narrow, especially when carrying luggage.
For able bodied travellers this hotel is a great base for a few nights stay,( I say able bodied due to the hotel having no lifts to rooms and you need to walk down to the basement for breakfast ). The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable and the staff are very helpful and cheery. I will definately use this hotel again and recommend it to others.
Wi-Fi so bad & Disappointed
all too narrow
Super close to Kings Cross Station Smart modern appearance when we arrived Very clean
Our room was a little small and it was hot, although the windows did open and there was a fan
clean and nice bathroom good location
