The quality of the rooms and restaurant were excellent. The breakfast is especially good, providing the option for both a continental and cooked breakfast with fresh coffee. The staff were attentive and helpful. The location is ideal for a quick trip into Manchester town centre. Frustrating that we weren't made aware of the parking arrangement with local car park until we'd got into the room - by which time we'd already made travel arrangements via public transport. The information on the website was different to the leaflet in the room - it only stated that parking was nearby at £15 for 12 hours...the deal on the other hand was only £10 for 24 hours. If we had known this before checking in, we could have saved ourselves the trouble of getting public transport

It's modern with a twist of old classic decor, rooms are big with high ceiling with enough lighting (halogen lights with dimmer switches about 5/6 in each room) making it very comfortable and inviting and not claustrophobic at all which a lot of the hotels in this country do make you feel. The double beds are very decent and the King bed sleeps 3! Powerful shower with nice heated towel rack. Shampoo and soap included, not other amenities. Nice free biscuits and nice drinks satchels, even with Choco drink! Heating or air-conditioning are both fine. It's a very nice hotel to stay in Manchester, close to Piccadilly Station and city centre. If you don't want to go far for drinks and nice food, there are other hotels across the road which offer a good selection as well. Booking.com has good rates. The hotel advertise rooms from £99 but I got mine for £69. For the price you for for this hotel it's a riot! The only thing is that they have no carpark. you have to park you car at the public carpark across the road, but the hotel does give you 15% discount on the ticket. 24 hours parking after discount is around £15.

Beautiful architecture of the building and helpful staff. I couldn't open the wondows in my room (204) and it was very warm and stuffy. I had to put on the air conditioning during the night which was very noisy meaning i had difficulty sleeping. The next mronong i had a very sore dry throat frm the air con and headaches for the rest of the day fromlack of sleep. It was not the restful stay i needed before an intense next day of meetings and a presentation.

We received the warmed of welcomes and were upgraded to a fabulous suite. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and my daughter, who is at Manchester University, and I had a really wonderful stay. The food in Michael Caines was truly outstanding and in a league of its own at a very competitive price. The food in the hotel restaurant was also delicious. Superb service prevailed throughout and we will most definitely be back !! An ipod dock in the room would have been nice.

The staff were very welcoming and cheerful, and extremely helpful. The room was AMAZING - we were upgraded and staying in the lovely Winston Suite. Breakfast was delicious. The other guests were discrete and friendly. The hotel was quiet, without being oppressive I am staying again in 10 days time for my next business trip. My company does not cover the entire cost but it is worth topping up the allocation to stay in the Abode.

Located a few minutes walk from Manchester Picadilly station. Check-in was quick, friendly and hassle free. Any staff we encountered during our stay were polite and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean with a huge bed. For it's central location the room was very quiet. We liked the hotel so much that we tried to extend our stay by one extra night but the hotel was fully booked and were unfortunately unable to accommodate us. We will definitely be staying at ABode Manchester again in the future and would recommend the hotel.

Location Fine dining restaurant No tablecloths in fine dining/champagne bar! Suite I booked was only adequate and some of light fixtures did not work. In the end there are many many similar hotels in Manchester city ctr and a lot of them are better. You really ust offer more!

Very friendly and helpful receptionist - I asked for a quiet room and she gave me an upgrade to a large quiet room at the back. Huge, very comfy bed, everything to hand including free wifi in the room. NIce bar with attentive staff and a very good breakfast for only £9.00 if you opt when you check in (try the eggs benedict). We ate in the signature restaurant downstairs which is very expensive for small, if delicious, portions.

Staff friendly and helpful. Our room had a huge (double) bed and everything we needed for our overnight stay. It was light and spacious and very quiet and peaceful. There were soft drinks and snacks available as well as the free coffee and biscuits. Nice cafe/bar offering reasonably priced meals as well as exclusive gourmet restaurant in the basement. Check out at 12 noon is good compared to some hotels which are 11 a.m. departure. Also we were allowed into our room an hour earlier on our arrival (normally 2 p.m.) although we offered to wait in the bar. We would visit this hotel again but check out if there are any special offers before you go (e.g. free breakfast and evening meal in cafe during February which we missed out on so went our for dinner and breakfast). The one lift in the hotel is a joke so we walked down 3 flights of stairs during our stay after trying to use lift unsuccessfully. Staff are aware of this problem but only one lift in hotel and on one occasion it didn't come at all. If you had heavy luggage or children this would be a problem.
