Fire alarm was sounding for fifteen minutes.
Friendly staff. Good wi-fi. Comfy chair in room. Massive bed.
The price was vastly over inflated as I was there during the labour conference. The desk wasn't suited to work at really. Poor acoustic seperation. Looks a bit bare but some may go for that style.
Location Breakfast staff/service Room
Front of House staff distracted and showed no interest my experience as a guest. I didn't feel as though my custom was appreciated which given the price of the room was surprising. A boutique hotel needs to have level of service that befits the definition. Abode Manchester did not in practice live up to its mission statement in that regard.
Location, nice friendly bar staff - one mnothingade me a negroni - which was not on the cocktail menu - decent restuarant
We had room 310 which was HUGE and the bed was so comfortable! Would definitely stay again.
reception not busy and staff charming
room lacked panache, rather rudimentary
Room, building, staff, food and location
All good except noisy room. Wooden floors look nice but not very practical
Great access to the city.
Bugs crawling about in the bathroom at night. Thieving cleaners. Internet kept going off. Michael Cains restaurant was very disappointing.
Great location close to railway station, shops and pubs etc. Interesting building with highest room ceilings we have ever seen! Staff were friendly - if a little shy?
Attention to detail ? Had to ask for regular tea bags on two occasions, had two bags promptly delivered to our room, then we were short of milk- sorted, but they missed the point, why not give a handful and make us really happy! Silly but ...
location big nice beds
terrible noise insulation - stayed twice and stilettos clanking on hard floors above - and talking easily heard through walls very annoying
Location was good for Piccadilly station
I was at the front of the hotel and the secondary glazing didn't keep the traffic noise out. What I thought was air conditioning wasn't, it was like a glorified fan. I`m sorry, for £120 a night I was expecting more.
Nothing everything was great
It was very good value for money. The staff in reception was very good but the restaurant staff wasn't as good as reception staff. Hotel room and bath room are very good standard and clean. Breakfast was very good and fresh. The hotel is old building with original tiles, beautiful.
Nearly nothing bad...but noise from the main load was a little issue. It would be nice if they have a small fridge in the hotel room.
Chill out factor. Breakfast was lovely
I couldn't open the windows for fresh air
Short walk from Piccadilly station - highly convenient Friendly staff Comfortable room, decent quality bed
Noise of traffic, even in a room not overlooking Piccadilly Bathroom was fine, but decor was a bit "tired" Lift needs upgrading
Staff was not very knowledgeable or helpful. When we checked out we were asked if we wanted to pay in dollars or GBP. When I asked what the difference was, the clerk said she didn't know, but she thought it would be better to pay in GBP. It turns out that we were charged an extra 3.5%! When I asked her if she could cancel the transaction and process it in dollars she said she couldn't change it because the transaction had already gone through. Waitress in bar was also terrible.
Had an amazing time here, literally loved everything from the desk clerk, to waking up in the huge bed
Good hotel, nice room. Tasty breakfast (when I eventually managed to get it!).
Couldn't book breakfast with the room, so booked at the hotel. Was asked for payment for breakfast on the way in to breakfast and was told that we couldn't have breakfast unless we paid for it then and there. Explained that reception had credit card details, which all the rooms and breakfasts would be charged to. After much argument, they agreed and let us in to breakfast. Quite embarrassing and totally out of order for a hotel of its caliber.
Friendly staff, spacious room (upgraded to Junior suite), comfortable beds.
a very comfortable stay though brief.Loved the restaurant and breakfast.
we upgraded the room was great but there was a damp smell on entering the room.
I'd advised the hotel it was my partners birthday. They gave us a free upgrade to a superior deluxe complete with a plate of treats, happy birthday stenciled in chocolate and a card!! Couldn't have asked for more! Oh and the 3pm-9pm Happy Hour for residents was excellent. Thank you Abode!
Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff, HUGE bed and gorgeous features in the room (stained windows, tiles etc)
Very basic toiletries (bar of soap and bottle of shower gel). We both had a couple of suspect looking bites after the first night's sleep, not ideal!
Staff!! sorted small deserts from Michael Caines to be on bed at arrival - and moved them to our new room within minutes as we got an upgrade We were given opportunity to upgrade on arrival and so we took on the Fabulous on 5th for just an extra £49 - total booking £119!! We dined at Michael Caines - amazing food and ambience Location - cheap parking just 2 mins walk
Service at Michael Caines was fantastic but in Chester is even more attentive (staff there pour wine/champagne more frequently and food service was quicker)
Theme and design of the room, amusing play on words with toiletries, spacious,
