There really is something for everyone in the region and there are many great ways to see the area, from touring the region in your car, to using the local tour services, the open-top local bus or the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway. The Lake District is famous for its stunning scenery and its walking, with hundreds of trails crisscrossing the region. You can also explore the area via mountain bike and there are many mountain bike trails throughout the Lake District, from the challenging to the relatively simple. You could also enjoy horse riding, fishing, 4x4 off-roading and quad biking nearby. For the quieter stay, Windermere has theatres, art galleries, museums and a lovely Art Deco cinema that shows the latest films.

Leaving..... Omg. For anybody thinking of staying here, reconsider. Ok, so we didnt want to pay an arm and leg for accommodation, but come on..... Windermere on the Lake, if you have a car. Private bathroom, well it would have been nice if they were at least on the same floor. The toilet and shower in seperate rooms, on seperate floors. The Room.....My Back is still sore from bending over and I am 5ft11. Bed....might as well have slept in the car. Breakfast poor. |

We had a wonderful stay at the All Seasons Guest House. The room was well furnished, clean and comfortable, the breakfast cooked to perfection and the lady who owned it friendly, warm and fun, even though heavily pregnant! No, it was brilliant. |

Spotless bedroom and ensuite in a very pretty house. Delicious English breakfast. Very close to railway station - good as we were arriving by train. Gentle and thoughtful landlady. Perfect. |

Me and my wife and our 10 year old son stayed at the All Seasons B&B our room was spotless, their is tea and coffee making facilities a flat screen tv, dvd player and dvds .The owner was helpful and very friendly, the weather wasn't too good so we went down to the leisure center which you can use free of charge because you are guest of this B&B our son loved the swimming pool and my wife relaxed in the Spa. We then went upstairs to play snooker and pool, there's also a gym and more to do but we didn't use these as we ran out of time, what more can you ask of a B&B than a great room great breakfast and leisure center free of charge five minutes away. |

Friendly staff but they did not interfere with your stay, they were there if you needed them which was great. The shower had very low water pressure which meant it took ages to have a shower, wash your hair, rinse etc. Floorboards were very very squeaky when you walked on them. Overall, the room had the basics and did the job for a couple of days. |

It was nice and quite and efficiently run. Parking is a problem but we were fortunate to get the same space for 2 days on the trot but had to find a side street for the last night. |
