this accommadation was very clean and comfortable. staff great, food great.

We liked absolutely everything of this inn. The owners and staff could not have been friendlier. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with personal touches. The dinner was absolutely perfect and the best was to just having to go upstairs and relax in the comfortable bed.Will definately be back.

My trip to this hotel was excellent . The room was spotless and well equipped the staff were very polite and helpful and the food was first class. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and can honestly say this hotel was top draw and would highly recommend it .

No negatives only location but for price cannot argue.

The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely shower. The bar had a great selection of beers and spirits and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

Excellent Food & Service

The rooms where spacious( you could swing a cat ) the meals where amazing considering the remote nature of the place , we wondered where the food came from. I mean middle if nowhere n pineapples!! Special. Also the staff very very accommodating , welcoming and a but shy ( one young YTS lad defo was) one word to sum our weekend up !!! Gunfire!!!

All round excellant quality of food and accomodation

We stayed in a number of B&B's around the border region including 5 star accommodation but this was by far the best cooked breakfast with tastey alternatives for those who prefer something lighter. The room was absolutely spotless and although facing the street we slept soundly in great comfort without a hint of disturbance from traffic - what little traffic there is in a village on Friday night!! The owners could not have been friendlier.

The rooms were comfortable, clean and very well equipped. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent and the owners were extremely friendly. I can't praise it enough.

My room was very big and extremely comfortable - as was the bed! The food was superb but quite expensive and maybe a bit too fussy for me as I am eating out pretty much every night during the week on my travels. Was clearly a very popular restaurant. The real ale was superb. Breakfast was great. This is an extremely warm and friendly Hotel with owners personalities clearly shown throughout. A lot of care and attention to detail can be seen.

WiFi didn't work, small technical issue which I am sure is only temporary. It was a bit of a problem because phone reception is not great in the area and I needed to get emails - but this was only a minor inconvenience

It provided all we could have asked for on our route to a stay in Edinburgh. Well satisfied!!

The welcome, the ambience , the service, the food, all superb, pity the weather was being obtuse, but not even that could detract from a lovely short stay.

We received a good welcome for our overnight stay.. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. We had dinner in the dining room and had an excellent meal. I chose this hotel after checking out other reviews and we were not disappointed. The staff especially Tanya and Leona were very friendly and helpful. There was a good choice at breakfast. I would recommend this hotel if you are touring in the Borders.

The friendly, laid-back atmosphere in a quiet and relaxing location; the food was excellent and the business of the restaurant proved it; there was a pleasant, companionable bustle about the place without being too noisy - and without canned music!! We consider it a brilliant find and would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, inexpensive getaway close to wonderful coastline and all the Borders beauty spots.

Everything. The room and en-suite were spacious and superbly clean. Bed was extremely comfortable The food served at breakfast and dinner was amazing and the staff very friendly.
