Allerton House was a superb find. The room was pure luxury- a lovely tall comfortable bed with a comfy sofa thrown in too. The bathroom was also newly refurbished and was fantastic, especially with the fancy toileteries. The breakfast was also tastefully prepared and delivered- they have a couple of speciality vegetarian dishes. I would also like to commend the owners for their high level of service. I would choose Allteron House again.

We found the Accommodations very comfortable and the service excellent. The proprietors were friendly and quite helpful when we had concerns or questions. The breakfasts were close to gourmet quality and served with concern for individual considerations. The location is close enough to Jedburgh's restaurants and businesses to walk to, but removed enough to avoid noise and traffic. All in all, we found our stay to be most relaxing and enjoyable. We fouind nothing to dislike about the hotel.

A welcome stop after many wet miles on a motorcycle. Spacious accommodation, good value for money, convenient location to downtown restaurants and local attractions, tasty Scottish breakfast. I would highly recommend to others.

Easy to find, convenient to town centre. Well appointed, very comfortable, friendly staff/owners, excellent breakfast. I have made a note and will definitely stay again, hopefully for a few days to explore the area. I would strongly recommend Allerton House for anyone either staying in Jedburgh or passing through (as I was, en route to Edinburgh).

The Allerton House is a beautiful Guest House. The rooms are spacious, very clean, stylish and comfortably furnished. Extra touches such as fresh fruit, wine glasses and a fridge in the room were a lovely surprise. Proprietors Chris and Carol are very friendly and welcoming. Allerton House is a five minute walk to the Abbey and resturants, and a delightful base from which to explore Jedburgh and the Scottish Borders.

The quality of the whole hotel was excellent. The bedroom in particular I could have stayed in all day long. Super comfy bed. Nice touch with the dvd player in the room and a library of DVD's in the lounge. I loved every minute there. I hope to be returning on business again in the near future and I will not even look at anywhere else!

Breakfast It was cold, I hated the old kitchen units in the room for tea and coffee making. The charge for using a credit card seemed petty.

Average/nice room however the bed was uncomfortable and the use of a thick duvet during late July made sleeping impossible. At breakfast cereals and fruit juice needed to be ordered, rather than self-service making breakfast a drawn out affair.

Stayed here in the past and found it very comfortable and a bit different from other B&Bs It was very cold - radiator in our room did not come on until around 5.30pm. We checked in at 3pm but ended up sitting in the lounge by the fire until we went out for something to eat,
