The breakfast. You have to work hard to ruin bacon and eggs....but they do..every single morning....
Good parking availability, showers were good. Everything else was fairly standard.
Room wasn't as booked. Family rooms surely aren't 3 single beds?
no hot water till midnight on the 1st night.
Nothing, Hated It
Used for Social Services Homeless. No towels or spare pillows. Door handle falling off. No hot water. Double Booked. Receptionist drunk at Xmas party trying to evict me from my room. Room interruptions without knocking, just unlocking. Breakfast woeful. Homeless arguing in the foyer and bad language. Three different rooms, all had problems. Don't stay here. Please remove it from Booking.com
Good location, convenient. Price good
Shower cubicle leaked. No towel rail or hook in bathroom
The room was very warm and cosy, the hotel interior is very nice and plenty of parking spaces.
Emma the receptionist was wonderful in what was a very difficult situation.
The grubbiness of the bedrooms, broken window catches, shower not working , no knob to turn heater on and no kettle. On complaint Emma moved us next door where the shower worked, heating could be put on, kettle for tea but still broken window catch. Bar meal was a disgrace but breakfast was edible. The place over run with homeless people which is going to affect clientele. We certainly will not be good ng back
I like the location Reception area and usually the rooms The lodge was musty and I had a pokey room
The room in the lodge was pokey and no heating in the bathroom Mean with the tea and coffee and no spare loo roll which was almost finished Bad house keeping
Nice big warm room, good size TV, very good bed.
Other party and wedding guests had no respect for others, noisy and door banging up to 2 am. But I did stay on a Saturday night. Buffet Breakfast was comprehensive, but cold.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained.
The heating wasn't on on the first night.
Cheap and well located for Birmigham Airport. Comfy bed and free wifi were a bonus.
Dated interior and poor mainenence of the bathroom. I had to wear earplugs so as not to listen to a driping tap all night!
Convenient location on the city outskirts Nice fluffy towels
Payment taken up-front. The hot tap dribbling constantly filling the room with condensation. The switch for the heating hidden behind a curtain. No breakfast before 07:30. No reception staff in the morning => no VAT receipt.
Village location but only 10 minutes from city centre Good car parking Excellent staff.. very friendly and extremely helpful Clean and Very good value
WiFi wasnt working very well... initially only in reception but later fixed in room but still slow. all rooms are no smoking and no outside covered smoking area
Locality, parking, warm greeting, ease of registration, cosy room, good food, spacious lobby area. Receptionist explained problems we raised and was very professional.
Poor WiFi, it was only available in the lobby; poor bathroom, shower leaked, toilet float valve sticky, sink taps loose.
Bed was comfortable
Rooms look nothing like the picture. Very Old fashioned and run down. Need to train your cleaning staff, if cleaning and find something broken report it ie Toilet seat was broken. WIFI not usable in rooms, only Reception.
Excellent location ,good facilities, fabulous breakfast ,local area very nice full of old charm, dined out so didn't use there restaurant ,decor was lovely what a change from ,Premier inn look.
No restaurant available Breakfast started too late Reception staff not very capable Could not provide VAT receipt Did not react to several phone calls No Wifi in room
Started with a 25 minute check in. Got keys to a first floor room, walked up, the lock in the door was faulty. Finally got into room, turned light switch on- no power!!! Went back down to be given keys to another room. Well let's just say this room was the worst hotel room I've ever seen. Dirty carpet, toilet seat hanging off, mould all around the bathroom. Smashed mirrror, no handles on windows, broken glass in windows. Dirty towels. I actually left without using the shower!!! While I was at reception getting the keys to my second room there were another 4 guests all complaining that their rooms were unacceptable, most saying they had no hot water, one even saying no water!!! Please keep away from this hotel.
I liked everything from the reception to my sleep
It was cold and the blankets were not that warm
Very outdated the first room was mouldy and smelly the next one was dirty bathroom was the worst thing I have ever seen no loo roll no toiletries bath was so small couldn't have a shower as the curtain stuck to you the toilet seat was falling off tea and coffee was just a tea bag no coffee milk or sugar no batteries in the remote only one member of staff on at a time and for the sign that said the doors are locked at night and to ring a number breaks all fire safety reg I know waited 15 min to check in rang number no answer
The beds were comfy that's about it!
It was a dirty hotel. People walking about on roof outside our window and smoking. Breakfast isn't served early so didn't even experience that. Window wouldn't shut properly so there was a draft. Rooms were cleaned every 2 days rather than daily (which explains why it is so dirty) with mould and mildew build up in the bathroom .The floor divider between the bathroom and bedroom was completely loose and could be moved or tripped over as there was nothing holding it down. For the price you pay seriously there are much nicer hotels in the area. Booked this one by accident and would never go back or recommend it. I only wish this accepted pictures so I could show you the actual state of the place.
the quietness & location
Decor very brash & old fashioned
The room looked reasonably clean.
Long wait to check in. The room was freezing cold, the window had been left open until 6pm in November......
The lady at reception is nice and quite welcoming the only good part about the hotel
