“ Realy warm welcome, host could not do enough for us during our stay, booked taxis, recomended resturaunts and booked them allowed us to use the beautiful Manor as our own home, shared their garden and a glass of wine by the fire in the evening. An excellant breakfast with home made fresh baked bread. Definitely a place to stay again. ”

Where to start, this place is amazing. A Beautiful Manor House with a lovingly decorated and luxurious interior. Friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast, what more could you ask for? Well what about all that for an incredible price, this place is such good value for money. We are already planning our next trip back, this time with friends and no children!

Lovely B&B in a pretty village. It was a fantastic historic building, which I loved and our room was wonderful with a free standing bath at the end of the (very comfy) four poster bed. It is advertised to have a facility for spa treatment - I found no mention of that anywhere. The accomodation was fantastic, but I felt a bit let down by the catering - the breakfast was distinctly average. We were staying between Christmas and New year, so it may be that they had reduced staff or something and that is the reasons for the above.

The hotel is excellent, the location a bit off the beaten track but well worth the detour. The staff were very helpful and the pub nearby do very good food at reasonable prices.

Leo looked after us extremely well, our room (the Garden Room) was delightful and quiet. Breakfast delicious, and the cost realistic. We will certainly go again if possible.

In the absence of anything else available in Grantham for a last minute visit I booked Allington Manor as they had availability. How pleased I am that other places were full! I stayed with my partner and a friend as we were visiting Grantham for a family event. We were greeted by Leo as we arrived and I can only agree with other reviewers who praise Leo for his warm and welcoming manner. After a tour of the house we were shown the Lords suite with it's large double bed and lovely small shower room/WC (loved the shower!). The room also features a beautiful roll top bath in the room itself, but as the were three of us sharing the room (additional bed comfortably fitted and suitable for tall adult) we were unable to make full use of the bath! The gardens are lovely too, with Leo providing refreshments all included in the price. We sat out the for quite a while enjoying the afternoon sun and the attention of Leo's three dogs, Mungo, Merlin and Winston. They really added to the overall excellence of our stay. The following morning we had tea/coffee and orange juice on the lawns before sitting in the breakfast room for a wonderful full English breakfast, with toast and cereal aplenty. We finished off our stay with a relaxing morning on the lawns before having to return to London. I'd definitely recommend Allington Manor as a destination and next time I'll return with just my partner and might even to neglect to visit my relatives in Grantham !

We really enjoyed our stay at Allingtong Manor. The Lord's room was beautiful and all the extra touches made it so special. The owner, Leo was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. The Manor has so much character and history, I will certainly recommend to family and friends. Thank you Our stay was not long enough!

We enjoyed the peaceful comfort of the Manor house. This is a very old building so expect the centuries of character that go with it. Moreover Leo was an attentive host who made us very welcome and was keen that we enjoyed our stay.

When I'm trying to catch up on some much needed sleep, I don't appreciate being woken up at 7:00 am by the 4 barking dogs. There really is no excuse for this noise so early in the morning which ruined my stay. If staying in an old building is your thing then you may disagree. The room was not setup for travellers and appliances had to be moved around to where the electrical sockets were. Not practical at all. It was disappointing and not good value for money.

The beautiful old building was full of character with lovely antiques and furnishings throughout. We were met by Leo in the Hotel car park and from then on nothing was too much trouble. We were invited to meet the three friendly family dogs, which might not suit eveybody, but was a pleasure for us. Leo gave us good advice about the local pub( another plus) and a potted history of the manor. We asked for a very early breakfast and even that was no trouble.

Comfortable bed and good bed linen. Stylish bath in bedroom No lighting in front of property windows to drive - we thought it was closed when we arrived. Shabby, cheap fittings, poor bathroom. Poor 3 star breakfast - for £120 a night we expected better. Tired dusty semi-antique furniture, too dark. Poor welcome. Just about limping along.
