The location was good, only 20 mins drive to Fort William and about 30 to the start of the Ben Nevis climb. We got room 29 in the new wing and it was great, big bed, floor space and even 2 chairs and a table. Bathroom decent too with a very strong shower. The bar is quaint and well stocked, staff efficient. The hot tub was awesome after our Ben Nevis climb! Really comfortable bed, pillow and sheets, one of the best sleeps I've had on our trip.
Would have liked a mini fridge in the room. Most of the other guests were much older and the dining was tables of 8 so mingling was forced which made for a less than lingering breakfast. The dinner menu was a set one with one serving and seemed pricey plus the menu wasn't that enticing so we didn't eat there.
The location of the hotel and the food was good including the take away The garden was well kept Staff were courteous
No staff to receive us at the time of checking into the rooms
Old hotel Beds uncomfortable Dont like the group dining experience
nice garden nice swimming pool
poor breakfast, cold bacon, cold toast, cold tea. all the tables are for 8 to 10 people.
Staff did us a light supper at very reasonable price
Staff were great
Showers were very poor
The hot tub and pool were nice room was ok.
The breakfast was poorly organised for B and B customers. Our room was right next to where the hikers got there bus early in the morning. The staff didn't seem interested in making the B and B guests stay the best they could.
Communal dining. i.e large circular tables. Forcing one to be social. I like my own company at breakfast time. However, this is probably a fault of my own rather than the hotel. In the end I got used to it and it turned out to be quite convivial.
Well kept. Very organized services. Helpful staff.
No bar meals. Strict dinner plan. Too far from public services and outdoor centers - like West Highland Way.
Friendly, welcoming staff. A very short trip this time
Our room was very very small.
Clean room, good breakfast. Lovely area and it was easy to find the hotel and get to nearby walks.
This hotel is setup to welcome people who've booked activity holidays with HF holidays. They seem to try to fill their spare capacity with bookings from the internet - like us. This was not clear at all when booking. The staff when we arrived seemed very unfamiliar with the hotel itself, and were only setup to deal with the package tourists. We basically felt fairly unwelcome and like an afterthought throughout.
The room was very comfortable and clean and beautiful views also lovely friendly staff
Shared dinning and drinks at the bar were quiet expensive
Impossible to find without local assistance. No evening meal provided. Poor breakfast.
Hot tub. Friendly staff. Nice room. Lovely hotel. Beautiful surroundings. Nice breakfast.
Bed uncomfortable. Pool too cold.
I din't like staff's attitude, owner should think how it make more cosy and sophisticated. It is fabulous location- but hotel itself is very poor. Not very clean, breakfast is so average
Great rooms with helpful staff.
If your not there for walking, there is just the pool to keep ypu entertained. So could get boring. Slightly over priced for what you get.
Location, clean comfortable room
No bar fridge and no fresh milk in the room Not really a B & B but more like a small hotel
Rooms were spacious and very clean. Staff were very helpful.
Only one sitting for evening meal and the fact that you had no choice but to share a table.
- Pool and hot tub! - Great location, stunning surrounding and easy drive to Fort William/Ben Nevis. Comfortable rooms. Comfortable lounge.
Breakfast - although excellent - doesn't start until 7:45 which was too late for us and I suspect may be for many hikers. However, evening staff did say we could go in 30 minutes early for continental breakfast although the morning staff had not been made aware of this.
The staff were really helpful and accommodating
No evening meal after seven thirty
Very friendly personel, good breakfast and amazing view. Also had poolarea to ourselves at 10 pm!
views from hotel nice to have a swiming pool
having to remove cover from pool packet frozen kippers for breakfast
Plenty off street parking for my vehicle just had one night b+b on this occasion and everything was fine.
Location and staff very pleasant and helpful
