excellent breakfast,friendly staff,great room
seemed strange that they changed the towels everyday although we hung them back up after use. not very green!
Clean and fresh, pleasant staff, good quality buffet breakfast.
Excellent breakfast and pleasant staff.
No lift with many stairs so not good if you have luggage and are less able-bodied.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Pleasant surroundings. Would definitely stay there again.
There were some noisy guests the first two nights, but that's guests for you!
room very good staff very helpful, breakfast excellent
comfy bed friendly staff
Friendly Staff and Great Value.
Can get very crowded during the day as it is a venue for many receptions after funerals at the crematorium.
Clean, comfy, bar, car park, friendly, kettle in the room etc etc
Stayed as a group , three separate rooms and All were perfect . Really clean and modern . Facilities very good . Breakfast included in room rate and once again Staff and Food brilliant . I would not hesitate to recommend to anybody . Reception Staff and Night Porter were excellant .
No comment necessary
the hotel and staff were excellent
although i had cancelled my booking of a single room to a twin at least a week before we were booked in, this had not been passed on to the hotel staff, luckily they had a spare twin room so my thoughts are the hotel is excellent your booking system is not
Helpful receptionists. Excellent breakfast, nicely cooked and pleasantly presented. The price.
The restaurant does not have proper wine glasses wine served in a water glass.
The very hard bed
Most things apart from breakfast.
Breakfast wasn't very good
It was perfect for what we needed. Family were over from Ireland and saying there so we did too.
Comfort & cleanliness of rooms
Did not like having to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke to enter main entrance.
Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Comfortable beds.
Nothing. No concerns at all
The facilities were excellent. Super freshly made bar snack provided after service time during a function no trouble - how thoughtful after a trip from deepest Somerset
The weather! But a warm haven awaited our return to the hotel
Location , Breakfast were both good , Bed was comfortable room was clean. TV was fine. This Hotel was in days gone bye was top notch Now it is needing money spending on it Such a terrible shame
No Lift. Paint peeling off pipe cover under sink . Black mould on same item. Taps were marked up with NOT DRINKING WATER !!! How do we fill the kettle ? How do you swill out your mouth after cleaning your teeth ??? Four of the coat hangers did not work. You could tell when our next door neighbour was passing water as the sound was obvious No interaction as we were leaving so that we could not draw any of the staffs attention to our concerns as we were leaving.
Easy to find, clean, older style hotel but efforts had been put in to keep it fresh. Receptionist very professional
WiFi which is essential was a disaster. Slooooooooow and then kept dropping. Staff were not customer friendly.
Great food - pizzas are delicious.
Bed really spoilt the experience - mattress appeared poor quality
The location of the hotel is good situated just outside Stockport centre on the main A6 trunk road, the hotel it self sits far enough back from the road for it not to cause any traffic noise. The hotel has a good sized car park and despite there being Christmas functions on both evenings of my stay there was plenty of parking space. The hotel is clean and tidy, with very helpful reception staff, the restaurant areas are light and airy. The food is well cooked prepared and presented. The Christmas functions did not cause to much disturbance in the room when trying to sleep.
The hotels decoration is now becoming dated and could benefit from some modernisation, there is not a lift which makes it unsuitable for the disabled. The single rooms are a little small and in the bathroom a notice on the hand basin saying "Not drinking water" is a little disturbing as this is the only water supply in the room for the tea and coffee making facility other that the toilet. Although in general the food is good it has to be said it is far overpriced and a drink is very expensive. Should you use the restaurant be aware if you are served or have contact with BINA LC as she appears to have difficulty in understanding the menu pricing she will not listen and has no problem in overcharging you, having said that the reception staff appear quite used to having to sort out her overcharging which they do satisfactorily.
