the cleanliness and friendly staff
Lovely hotel. Ideal location for the swimming pool. Room service was excellent.
The usual value for money and clean rooms.
Staff were not friendly, especially housekeeping - I passed three on check out and not one acknowledged us. Rooms are getting tired
value for money. comfortable beds good location
The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are helpful and the food in the restaurant is really nice and well presented.
The rooms look very dated, the restaurant is a little on the expensive side and they add a service charge to the total bill when you check out.
Great value for money !!
Breakfast and Dinner and the staff were all excellent.
Room to hot at night and no facility for turning down heating in room. Slept with window open and curtains open to let in air. No Draught Guinness available in Bar.
Lynn was so kind and helpful..everything about this hotel was great. Thank you☺
Felt relaxed, comfortable and had a great stay
Cooked breakfast was poor
Facilities, convenience and I didn't feel uncomfortable on my own in the bar. The staff are lovely, very courteous, helpful and polite Food is good
The noise! I requested a quiet room but didn't get one I think due to the hotel being busy. I was at the front of the hotel and couldn't sleep as whilst they have secondary glazing, the outer window was open and no matter how hard I tried, it didn't close. I would stay again but definitely request a room at the back if you want to sleep!!!
I have to say this hotel had the most comfortable bed I've used away from home. The pillows were luxurious. The room was spotless and roomy. My husband had such a large breakfast he didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! The choice of cooked or continental (or both) was very good.
I didn't like the fact we couldn't get ITV on the television. There should be more than two disabled parking places outside. It was a very long walk to our room but that was my own fault as I hadn't mentioned when booking I walk with a stick.
The staff were super friendly. Room was comfortable and spotless. Yummy breakfast too. Cosy fire in reception where we also enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner.
The room was pleasant and clean. The shower was good, really high pressure plenty of hot water.
The Bed, like sleeping on a board. There was a strong laundry smell coming from the bed linen. The breakfast was alright, but food ran out at busy time, I think mainly due to the primitive Bain Maries on the buffet.
Evening meal for hotel was good and head waiter looked after us.
Heat if bedrooms
A friendly, clean comfortable overnight stay!
Breakfast could have been more inviting!
Great location Manchester City only 30 mins away and bus runs every 5 mins all day and night Very clean and comfortable with a very good Italian restraurant owned by Italians well worth the money and has a breakfast buffet pile up and go no waiting
Everything nothing to dislike
Its cleanliness, location, comfort, and friendly staff. Also good value for money. Good parking.
Captive clothes hangers in bedroom wardrobe, some of which were broken.
Peaceful location of room
Quality of said coffee, very poor, important to serve quality coffee when charging such prices. Asked to have filter coffee at breakfast, would pay as breakfast included, received the same!
The staff made the stay an absolute pleasure.
It's a little tired round the edges but the atmosphere and staff make up for it. Had a great night there. Would highly recommend.
Clean, cheap, accessible by bus, restaurant on site, breakfast was fine, staff friendly. Despite the negatives this was my second stay, so on balance I liked it.
Very basic room, no drinking water in room, dinner in restaurant was average to poor, service slow, long walk from train station (see positives: take a bus, very frequent service stops just outside).
Although on a very busy road, the window insulation is great and we heard no noise from outside.
There is no lift, and we had to negotiate our suitcases up and down three sets of stairs to get from Reception into the newer block at the back of the building. The room had a kettle and tea and coffee, but only long life milk cartons and no biscuits or bottled water. The beds were reasonably comfy, but the pillows were so hard I couldn't use them. The worst feature was the breakfast. Four warming trays contained the hot food - which looked so unappetising that for the first time in my life I passed on a cooked hotel breakfast.
Hotel has everything that you need from a hotel for a night. Good parking, fast wifi.
breakfast was very good but not keen to eat in the evening. was not very happy with the meals on offer when we first visited so only had breakfast this time. Reception staff in particular were very pleasent and professional
disappointed to see plastic glasses in the rooms and no biscuits with the tea/coffee in the rooms.
Very clean and comfortable food very good too.
