Location on the Firth - walking and cycling on the promenade. Close to Cramond and an easy trip to Newhaven and Leith for the facilities. Also not far to the zoo. Bedroom adequate Price
Breakfast expensive for a budget hotel - we didn't have.
Handy for where we were going the following day.
No bacon at breakfast, No biscuits in room to have with coffee.
Price. This is good value but don't expect luxury as it is a no frills basic hotel. View of Firth of Forth. A 1 minute walk to the beach with lovely walks along the promenade or shoreline. Good car park. Quiet location.
Breakfast ought to be included as it's not an optional extra. Breakfast, even continental, not available before 6am. No shelf in bathroom. You do need a car.
It was all old and dirty Poor breakfast Really bad value for money
Cheap, nice sea walks close by
No internet in rooms
It was really clean would go again
The view from our room
No we're in the hotel to get an evening meal unless you like pizza which is ordered in
big and spacious room good size bathroom near to the sea
I didn't have hot water in my shower for the whole stay
Ample Parking Coffee & Tea in the room
1)How is it possible that in 2014 the rooms have no Wi-Fi? To get on the web you have to stay in the lobby area. 2)The room had a foul smell - something between sweat, urine and a decomposing corpse. Apparently the lodge was full and they couldn't change the room. 3) We were informed that the Boiler was not working so heating was out of question 4) Ironically there was hot water in the bath tub AND WHAT HOT WATER! The water was so hot (with no possibility of mixing with cold water) that we were considering buying some lobsters and cook them for dinner in it!
The place was clean, staff very friendly.....
Beds a lumpy, and there was no hot water at 9pm...
Nice location Good price
There was no exhaust in the wash room.there was difficulty to get an iron..
The bed the bathroom the location
There are 1200 meter to the next bus-stop
Excellent and friendly staff, good breakfast and fab views. Was very happy to stay there and will use almond lodge again.
the space is budget
the bus stop is too far away from Almond house and poor signal of wifi in the room and public area.
Quiet, lovely place with ample free parking; attentive staff; clean, no frills stay. I think it'd be ideal for business as well as family travellers. Fair value for money.
No public transportation.
Clean and comfortable bed. Full sized bath. Fantastic breakfast close by, if you have a car.
Noisy other guests. Maid didn't refill the milk and sugar. Squeaky floorboards. No breakfast offered.
The staff was terrific in every way.
The noise on the floor above my room. And the breakfast was basic for the price.
Very comfortable bed Quiet at night Good value during the Festival
Breakfast Distance from city centre
No Wi-fi in Room
All in all not a bad place to stay, the room was your generic travel lodge style, beautiful views, very quiet and had a great nights sleep, good choice for breakfast, set down a country lane so little to no traffic or people end of the day good value for money
en suite looking a bit dated and tired could do with better signage to find breakfast room
Location right near the coast was beautiful and not to far to get to the centre of Edinburgh by car. Good Breakfast and staff very polite.
Price was good and location
Entrance to property was shabby and needed attention.
price was good, room was comfortable and its got ensuite facilities.
roofs are squeky when the floor above is occupied. The overall cleanliness could be better,a nd staff could be more helpful.
Allow to check in before time.
Wifi was poor.
