Almond Tree Cottage is situated in the beautiful Cornish countryside in the grounds of a Grade II listed manor house where former farm buildings have been converted into holiday cottages. The cottage is all on ground level having two bedrooms (one double and one twin room, which can be converted to form a double bed if required). The cottage is surrounded by beautifully kept pretty gardens. It is only 11km (6m) from Port Isaac and 20km (11m) from the famous fishing harbour of Padstow. The location is very peaceful, with country walks on the doorstep but within easy reach of pubs and restaurants. The nearest beach is Trebarwith Strand, where there is a pub serving food all day, Polzeath beach is about 20 minutes drive and great for surfing. The world famous Tintagel Castle is within a short drive as is the pretty village of Boscastle with its tiny harbour and river gorge, leading out to sea. The Camel Trail follows the Camel Estuary from Padstow, through Wadebridge on to Bodmin and to the cottage and the whole area is great for cyclists, be it your own bike, or hired from one of the towns on the Camel Trail. Rough Tor is a great challenge for a good walk on Bodmin Moor.
