On the waterfront, Ramada Hotel & Suites London Docklands is just half a mile from London City Airport. With a bar and restaurant, and the Docklands Light Railroad is only 0.3 miles away.
Score from 873 reviews Very good
Located less than a minute's walk from ExCeL London, the Sunborn London is a floating super-yacht hotel features free Wi-Fi access, a bar and a restaurant.
Score from 351 reviews Excellent
With views of Royal Victoria Dock, ibis London Excel-Docklands is less than a one-minute walk from the ExCeL exhibition center and the Emirates Air Line cable car system that leads to the O2 Arena.
Score from 2205 reviews Good
This 4-star hotel is 500 ft from the ExCeL Exhibition Centre and close to the O2 arena, Canary Wharf and London City Airport.
Score from 591 reviews Very good
Excellent location right next to Excel exhibition center and DLR to Tower Bridge. 10 min's walk to City Airport. Tastefully decorated. Excellent bed.
Great facilities, excellent staff and a great trendy feel about the place.
Not the biggest room I have ever stayed in but it did not matter too much
No breakfast included
extremely close to the ExCEL Exhibition Center decent breakfast nice service staff
too far out to visit other places in London more 3+ than 4-Star not easy to reach from any of the airports in London, but this more due to poor ground transportation in London
Access to tube transport Business level printing etc wifi housekeeping quality fittings helpful effective efficient staff access to food and drink
London haze.. not the hotels fault.
Absolutely excellent comfort and service
Nothing was perfect
Room was excellent and good location for the ExCel
Breakfast and dinner to expensive.
the rooms were lovely
steam room wasn't working properly
Close to city airport and London attractions outside the city centre. I only missed nearby shops or supermarkets. However at the hotel lobby they do have 24 hours shop which sells basic foods and beverages. Which does help in contingency circumstances.
Gym, swimming pool, room, very friendly staff
Hotel and room facilities were excellent
Everything was amazing.
The stuffs were cheating rather than helping check in, and when they do help they are rude, they also provided unreal info
I travelled with my partner to the Aloft London Excel. We were able to check in early with ease! Friendly and helpful staff!!
Location to excel superb, take away coffee cups with lids in room so you can take straight into your conference. Friendly helpful staff Amazing views!
With kids no kids menu in restaurant and with cheapest dish around £15 not good value for kids. Take away type sandwich bar good for lunch but not dinner. Kids beds are air beds on floor my kids didn't mind but older kids might not find as comfy better off having adjoining rooms.
Great rooms Cleanliness Attentiveness of staff
It became clear that restaurant does not have enough space when guest numbers are high. This is problematic as there are not many facilities around the hotel
Excellent beds.Clean, quite & comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Nice pool (with sauna and steam bath). Close to London City Airport (7 pounds with a London cab, 10 pounds with a private cab through reservation Aloft personal or by DLR with a transfer). Excellent connection to DLR (1 minute walk from 2nd floor of the hotel) and a good ('London')price in the summer season. I would come again.
Nothing but it will take you about 20/25 minutes to get from the hotel to the centre of London with the DLR (Tower Gateway) which costs 2.70 pounds one way per person. So you will have to consider this 'con' against the pro's.
This was booked for a birthday.... Which the staff did not take notice of I had to ask for some things to make it better.
The facilties were nice. The cleanliness, the staff at the reception area very helpful and cheerful.
Upon arrival, the room I booked and paid for in advance was jot ready. Infact i asked for a room for my fiance and i, and they had two single beds. The staff member tried to get this changed, eventually after a little stress this was sorted. But no goodwill or token of apology was given for the inconvenience. It wasnt the best start to out romantic stay at this hotel. The entrance access to the hotel after hours was inconvenient, as only one door is open for access. And that by a buzzer. I would suggest more variety in the shop downstairs. More hot food would be nice, plus nuts and larger bottles of water please :-)
The hotel is an oasis away from London and is only 20 minutes away on the DLR. The staff are probably the best I have encountered in my decades of hotel use. The facilities and cleanliness are second to none.
Bar food is below average and expensive. The bathroom fan does not turn off as there are no opening windows. This is a major problem when trying to sleep.
Aloft is very clean rooms are really large lovely walk in shower. Pool and steam room was fabulous after a long walk in London great to relax in a clean pool with lots of fluffy clean towels Great for families kids enjoyed the pool and it was really clean We had breakfast on the last day and it was really good value for money lots of range and plenty too The tube is so near as we had lots of luggage it is a short train ride into London but be prepared to make changes on route I would defiantly stay again
The hot chocolate from the bar was a bit pricey for the amount you get but I am really picking flies here the hotel is excellent.
We enjoyed our stay so much!!The stuff (Francesco,Filomena the night stuff, the driver to carnary wharf )really every one was very professional, kind and friendly! We are recommending Aloft Hotel. It is a few stops away from Waterloo so it is convinient.Over the day stress inside London and at the evening having good cocktails and calming in one of the private areas;) Enjoy it!!
