The location was great for theme park. Lovely restaurant serving good food.
You need a car and area difficult to navigate. Nothing to do in the evenings. Was a bit disappointed (and annoyed) that we were asked to check out about 10mins before check out time, were told rooms were needed as a wedding that day!!! Bedroom a little tired looking and sofa bed in need of replacing.
Greeted with a glass of wine!
room clean and tidy dinner very nice and reasonable price good car parking close to strathclyde park
breafast was a dissapointment. Orange juice was watered down and fried breakfast was mostly leather. Tattie scone, hash, mushrooms and beacon had all been out too long. beans were cold. fried egg fresh from the pan was good.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
One of the window catches was broken . The ironing board was a rather cumbersome affair, but it works.
Coming from the South it was easy to find off the M74
Closeness to the Fun Fair but it did not bother us
Free wifi and nice grounds
Over priced, would expect pool/spa for price paid
Hotel was lovey & clean, food was excellent.
The staff, location, food, cleanliness and most aspects of the room.
The pull out sofa bed was so weak that even two average size children sunk toward the middle lying in it. A simple mattress topper would have helped them sleep better.
Complementary glass of wine! Staff very helpful with baby Very clean room
Flood in bathroom, but staff quick to assist.
Great location handy for motorway etc
Wifi was slow and intermitant, but better than some hotels where you have to pay for WIFI then doesnt work.
location helpful and friendly staff good food well equipped room
lovely, clean room. staff are very friendly.
The staff were excellent and service was superb. The WiFi only worked some of the time. The only thing that could of made the stay better would be a pool but there's so much to do it doesn't really matter. Would recomend to anyone visiting surrounding area.
Nothing every thing was spot on.
Used this hotel as our base for two visits to the athletics at Hampden Park. Travel advice and transport links were good. Good access to motorway. Pleasant and attentive staff. Good food in restaurant.
Crack in bathroom sink
Given the Timing of the Commonwealth Games we booked this hotel back in March as one of few remaining choices. It would not have been a hotel of choice. It is predictable "Holiday Inn' type fare
By comparison with other uk experiences over a three week period this hotel was considerably overpriced (clearly opportunistically on account of the Games) The hotel was as expensive as a central London (Mayfair) hotel and considerably more expensive than a central Edinburgh Hotel. Not good value.
Clean, tidy well situated.
Poor training of some of the reception staff. Not one smile on both the male staff there. High cost of accommodation due to commonwealth games dates. No change in any menu in 9 days even some items not available. Very very poor wifi even if it was free. Probably lack of suitable fibre optic lines. Very busy with weddings with no extra visible staff.
Very helpful friendly reception staff. Free WiFi a plus. Location in a park a plus in summer in terms of walking in nature (albeit close to the noisy M74). Rooms reasonable. The musical quartet on Saturday nights. Dinner menu good and good food.
Restaurant staff a mixed bag - some excellent, others not at all attentive. Location means a taxi ride to Bellshill or Motherwell to get the train to Glasgow. In common with other hotels in the region a tendency to price gouge over the Commonwealth Games. No air-conditioning. Breakfast a bit limited in the non-cooked part.
Dinner was good
Breakfast poor, all three days major items were not available. Room was hot and rather noisy.
The shower was great. We had complimentary bottled water everyday. The hotel is in a large park with a Loch which is great for runners. The bed was comfortable. We were relieved to find the theme park next door made no impact on our stay or sleep whatsoever.
You need a car otherwise you have to get a taxi to the nearest train station. The food was unimpressive. We chose to eat out for breakfast after a couple of days even though it was included. The hotel was overpriced but we were there during the Commonwealth games. Our room was on the ground floor facing the front of the hotel so we were disturbed by cars and people late at night.
PAID EXCESSIVE RATE DUE TO COMMONWEALTH GAMES. NOT SURE WHAT NORMAL RATES WOULD BE.
Staff obliging and friendly. Rooms good size Breakfast reasonable
£300 per night b&b for double room is excessive and not justified even during Glasgow 2014 Hotel deliveries throughout the night outside our room. Excessive noise from wedding guests into small hours. No air-conditioning and limited ventilation. Dinner menu and quality poor. Restaurant noisy, small tables and staff not proactive. Four star rating not justified.
The fact that my bank account was debited in November when I made the reservation so I lost over £20 in interest
Rooms very comfortable, clean, slept very well. Location was perfect for us, giving good access to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. Scottish breakfast was excellent.
Far from 4 star! Food was very good but we had to ask for top up of various dishes at breakfast every day. There was no cold meat nor cheese, and the fruit was tinned except for 2 days when we had a meagre salad of pineapple and melon. There is no bar - just a lounge area in the dining room. A sign on the access road said rooms from £30 per night. We paid £270 per night, doubtless because of the Games,. Very bad value at £270, OK at £30!
Friendly staff. Dining room set nicely for meals.
£300 per night to stay but no air conditioning. If windows opened, noise of adjoining funfair during the day and roar of service system at night (at back of hotel). Had one evening meal only during stay. Service very slow (40 minutes with only three other couples dining) and meal only adequate and overpriced. Limited range of fruit and cereals (boxed!) at breakfast bar. No choice of teas and only four small milks in the room. The hotel Is ten years behind the times - superficially smart but no quality in depth. Rated at 3 star at best. Similar complaints also noted earlier but no improvement since. Urgent shakeup of management required.
the bed, the bathroom (really spotless) and the staff.
I blog; trying to download pictures took ages (I left the laptop running overnight to allow the pictures to download). I don't have this problem with any other wifi.
