This is the second time in a month that myself and girlfriend have spent the weekend at the Alona. As usual on arrival we are greated with cheeery and very smart recepionist and a glass of wine of course. The checkin was over in minute and our room again was immaculate. We had dinner both nights in the restaraunt and the food was lovely and service was first class. The breakfast in the morning is freshly cooked and delicious as well. We will be be going back soon as we simply adore staying there . Thanks to all in the Alona.

Only one thing I am not to fond of is the live band playing during dinner on a Saturday night .

Staff were so friendly particularly Nikki and Gary. Excellent food served in the Restaurant with reasonable prices.

The Bathroom lighting was very dim. My wife had extreme difficulty trying to apply her makeup.

The room we had overlooked the loch to our delight.

Having to exit the front doors to have a cigarette. It would have been nice if there was a rear exit for guests to stand as it does not do anything for the appearance of the hotel.

The setting was excellent and very convenient for the motorway.

The rooms and the showers, every business persons needs are met! Room size excellent and very well fitted out, no issues at all.

The room was a good size for a couple, well laid out, clean and tidy. The location was good for a morning stroll in Strathclyde park.

Overall the hotel staff were good, but the reason I selected fair was due to one member of staff. In the morning we went for breakfast and at the time we arrived there were no sausages or black pudding available. When I inquired of the member of staff on the breakfast counter, he told me '2 minutes'. After 5 minutes the two items were still not available, when I inquired again he told me '2 minutes'. Other people arrived and aske the same question and were also told '2 minutes'. After some time, I asked again and was told '2 minutes', I informed the member of staff that it's not satisfactory to continue telling me and others '2 minutes' when this was obviously unrealistic. When I stood in the queue again and the sausages arrived, he came past everyone else and plonked two sausages on my plate. I didn't appreciate his obvious sarcasm. This member of staff spoiled an otherwise enjoyable stay, and my family and I hope that he recives a stern warning for his very rude attitude.

can become uncomfortably hot in their conservatory restaurant but staff are aware of this, and hope it will be corrected soon

We liked everything aboout the Alona,from the moment we arrived we were welcomed by all the staff.

There was not a thing not to like about the Alona.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff. Spotless rooms. Free parking. Good breakfast.

It was noisy at night with a private party disco music until 1am. But we have visited regularly to the Alona and not experienced this before.

on arrival the reception staff were excellent as was my room. its was in a pleasant location were I could enjoy a walk around the loch

to say I didnt like my evening meal would be a bit unfair. I didn't think the food was up to the standard of the hotel. I did have sunday lunch and it was 8 o'clock so that may have explained it

Very friendly welcome - staff extremely pleasant and helpful.convenience for motorway but able to walk round the lake.

Little bit of wedding noise but we were prepared for this by the staff who had tried to accommodate us suitably and welcome was so good that we were prepared to put up with that.

A great experience all round and the whole family enjoyed the stay
