Very clean, the lady was very nice and helpful, professional, would recommend staying here!
Friendly people very helpful.
The shower was quite weak. Breakfast was only at 8.30am a bit early when on holiday. Other than that it was a really pleasant experience
Everything Bed huge and sooooo comfy Spotless clean...
Didn't want to say and it's petty BUT u gotta have beans on a brekkie In fairness u do get yoghurt / cereal offered b4 fry up !!!
the bed is soft and clean ,but toilet is so small and old~
Because the boss to the New Year, let me arrived a day late, but did not return the payment in advance, I need to complain! Breakfast is so normal~ The room is too small
The bedroom is really cozy, with new furniture and warm. I liked it a lot.
The only bad aspect is the distance to the city centre. But if you have no problem taking a bus or taxi, the place is really worthy.
A perfectly cooked breakfast was the best part of my stay.
Location was a long way from the centre of town. Was misleading.
Clean and perfect location
We stayed in the second of the 2 houses and our room was lovely. Really well decorated, big comfortable bed, TV on the wall, tea making facilities and a big rainfall shower in the ensuite bathroom. The bus stop into the centre is opposite and it's £3.50 for a day ticket which cover all bus travel in the city.
There was nothing we didn't like and we will definitely stayagain.
Lovely rooms, comfiest beds I've slept in, fantastic breakfast, owners are very friendly and helpful which made us feel welcome. We would stay there again. Day pas buses great value with bus stop right outside the Guest House
A little far away from the city for our needs. We requested late check out, however this did not seem to be communicated to the owners. Not sure if the fault lay with the owners or Booking.com
very clean and very comfortable
nothing to dislike
The helpfulness of the staff at this guest house was brilliant, they gave us lots of useful information about travelling into the city centre and nothing was too much trouble. Always a smile and very welcoming. We will definitely be booking to stay there again and for a longer stay next time.
Warm, friendly, spotless
Can't fault anything had a good rest and breakfast
Have no complaints
The proximity of the accomodation to one of the main bus routes into Edinburgh.
The coffee in the morning was terrible, it was weak and watery. A good quality coffee would make all the difference.
compact rooms with adequate ventilation & all amenities...friendly owners. shower had nice lighting! breakfast was good, and private parking was a plus. the best point was the rooms had ground floor access!
room & toilet was a bit small, with crammed open closet space for hanging clothes.
- Louie & Ada were great hosts and helpful - Wonderful breakfast - Bus route right outside door - No stairs to climb - On site parking - Easy walking distance to Mall
- Beds a bit narrow - Artificial plants in hanging baskets outside front door
Rooms excellent great location could get a bus into Edinburgh bus stop just outside. Great Value.
I cannot single anything out as it was all perfect. Thank you!
Excellent breakfast, very friendly service, convenient bus to city center, private car-parking
It can be noisy when other guests come in/leave the house.
Nice and efficient lady owner; spacious and clean room to stay with free parking. Breakfast is good.
TV box didn't work well to switch to different channels. Breakfast is served at 8:30am, not much flexibility given, i.e. 8:30 to 9:30am would be better.
The place was like home, relaxed and very friendly. plan to stay there again
It was a very nice guest house and the breakfast was lovely. Having the bus stop right outside the premises was very convenient. The room was cheerful and immaculate.
We spent a wonderful few days in Alpha Guest House. It was easy to find, out of the noisy, heavy traffic zone. From a bus stop on the other side of the street we could get to the Old Town in 15 minutes and the buses were frequent. We started our days with a tasty breakfast, enough to keep us going till the afternoon. We got a spacious room with a nice bathroom and a large, comfortable bed, all you can ask for trip to the city.
The room door opens into the main corridor, which was a bit noisy when other guests arrived.
The location is excellent with good bus service to the centre.
Breakfast ok but could be better
clean, professional bus stop to city center very near
