The Beeches Lodge

Zum Hotel gehört ein netter Park, klein aber fein.

Unser Zimmer hat Holzdecken, dh. man jeden Schritt aus dem darüberliegenden Zimmer gehört.

Bisher waren wir mit diesem Hotel zufrieden. Doch dieses Mal: Ein Bett war wegen herausspringender Spiralfedern nicht zu benutzen, so dass ich auf einer Luftmatratze schlafen musste. Die Rückwand des Bettes klappte gegen die Wand. Ein Kopfkissen war so verklumpt, dass sich zwei getrennte Teile gebildet hatten. Die Gardine war eingerissen. An der Duschkabine löste sich die primitive Verblendung.

Location to the city and pleasant helpful staff.

Noisy, stuffy room. Poor ventilation. No water glasses. This is not a complaint but an observation.

The room was extremely hot, only one window opened but it was on the road side which was very noisey. The bathroom light didn't switch off.

First room smelled badly of damp we asked to move and all ok. Rooms a little small but cheap close to city centre

The location was excellent, centrally situated behind the Catholic cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The buildings and decor were very nice. It was almost like staying in someone's home. I had originally booked a room at The Beeches Lodge, but was switched to the Beeches Hotel due to an electrial problem. It was a lucky accident.

The traffic noise was an issue early in the morning. I wouldn't recommend staying in one of the street facing rooms if you want to sleep past 8 AM.

The room was clean and comfortable and very close to the centre of town.

Close to city centre and some shops just over the road from the Beeches Lodge. Staff always helpful and friendly, always try to accommodate customers.

Nothing. This is not a 4 star hotel as it appears on the website. It is a B&B with high prices and a ridiculous policy of cancellations only 24 hours in advance.

The staff at reception the day I checked in was unnecessary irritating. Think she was a university student doing a part time job, but customers should still come first.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a fair size for the price.

The bathroom was really cold and apparntly people could see you in there through the sheer curtians, the room was number 24.
