The Langtry Rooms

The Hotel is very close to the City Centre for business activities and the environment is very serene.

There is no writing table and comfortable chairs. I had expected to see a small fridge to store drinks and others.

Close to all amenities, good dining in local restaurant= ie 103 and easy access to local countryside. Local people very pleasant and helpful.

King sized bed would be helpful my husband is over 6ft and bed was a little too small

Good location, clean, comfortable beds

No mirror (just a frame !), no chair to sit on or place some clothes overnight

Excellent location for city break - plenty of pubs, shops, restaurants and take-aways literally on the other side of the road. I didn't eat there but the Langtry pub-bistro looked very nice and they were offering guests 15% off food & drink. Room was smallish but modern and clean.

easy to get to town centre

We have stayed many times when this was the Beeches. The langtry is now suffering from the same problems as the latter stages of the Beeches, it is in serious need of re-decoration and new carpets, I would not have been at all happy if this had been my first visit. The entrance hall for one was filthy not creating a good impression,does'nt anybody ever look behind the entrance door to clean. We did eat in the Langtry, the food was very good, but no plain options on Menu, if my Husband had been with us there was nothing he would eat, even a plain steak would do. I was dissapointed with our visit this time and had hoped as it had changed hands it would have been cleaned up. Come on new owners get your act together or you will loose customers.

The best thing about the Langtry Rooms was it was cheap. It was also convenient for my wife and I as our son and his family live on the same road.

The cleanliness left something to be desired and some redecoration is necessary. No dining facilities exist.

Excellent value for money, friendly staff, central location, basic but very clean and comfortable room.

the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable

i felt the room was perhaps a little small for twin beds, also the curtain did not pull across properley which was a little awkward for a ground floor room facing out on to the street

Restaurant/bar was lovely. The hotel was very clean

fire alarm going off and being no one around to get hold of. I had to ring the fire service. When the arrived the alarm system was indicating Zone 2 but there was no zone map displayed. Should have been someone there or the system linked to Redcare at least.

The location was excellent as were the staff. We had a problem with the booking as it was made when it was still the beeches lodge and there was no record of us. Luckily the staff organised a room for us straight away.

Een mooi historisch gebouw met 's nachts voldoende stilte.Gezellige kamer op loopafstand van het centrum.Aanbevolen

er kan iets beter schoongemaakt worden. Ik ben bijna 2 meter en kon niet helemaal uitgestrekt liggen want dan raakte ik het voeteneinde van het bed. Er kan een luiere zetel komen ipv. het rotanstoeltje.Er was 1 nachtlampje wat het niet deed.
