In the Moorlands and under 5 miles from Alton Towers, this beautiful 250 year old house with landscaped walled grounds was originally built as a rectory.

Lisa and Cornelius were very accommodating. The English breakfast each morning was very good. Lisa also had lots to share about the surrounding area and places to go.
Size of room was great and a nice view of a lovely garden and fields with horses in. Nice touches like serving tea and cake on arrival made it feel extra special.
Friendly staff, very good breakfast . Quiet and very child friendly.
Very uncomfortable mattresses and wifi very weak - barely enough to check our emails. Quite hard to find the place as well.
The person who met us was very warm and friendly.
There was no wifi at the accommodation as advertised. Plus, we left something at the accommodation and despite emailing have had no replies.
The location, surroundings, other guests, staff and the breakfast
that we hadn't booked for longer
Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was excellent and the room/cottage was very cosy! Would definitely stay again and recommend!
Only negative point was that no one was around when we checked out, although this didn't cause us any hassle and we just popped the key through the letter box.
Loved the bed so comfortable Owner/hostess attitude and helpfulness excellent
Bathroom especially shower cubicle to small
Close to Alton Towers. Friendly welcome. Lovely breakfast delivered to flat. Hammock in private garden. Surrounded by own grounds.
Great location -- close to Alton Towers theme park. Friendly staff. Big family bedroom with own adjoining bathroom.
Damp in the corner of the room, next to our son's bed. I had to sleep him with his head at the foot of the bed, which wasn't ideal.
Lovely tea and cake on arrival which was much appreciated after a long journey. Excellent location for Alton Towers especially with the directions provided by staff. We all had a great nights sleep and full breakfast which set us up for the day.
Only grumble and it is minor was that the wifi was a bit slow.
We had a great stay here. The staff were brilliant and so helpful even though we arrived at 6.45 tired weary and hungry after a day at Alton Towers, nothing was too much trouble the lady gave us several local take away menus, paper plates, cutlery and a bin bag for the rubbish, we ordered a brilliant take away from one of the leaflets which was lovely and very resonable. The accommodation was great, very large rooms with comfy beds and the breakfast was amazing we couldn't have wished for a better stay. It was also great value for money compared to Alton Towers accommodation, there was seven of us in two rooms including two three year olds who loved the animals and being able to run around outside, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alton Brook House.
Nothing it was brilliant.
Family room spacious and breakfast delicious. We really enjoyed our stay. Family room perfect for small children : )
No signal for calls / messaging or wifi, everything else perfect
I had to pay £25 cancellation fee because I accidently booked the wrong date, even though I booked the correct date after. I wish I had of said something at the time.
- Staff (other than Lisa) were very helpful. - Big Beds - Nice Breakfast
- Booked the Junior Terrace Suite but on arrival was shown a different room. On complaining, proprietor (Lisa) put the blame firmly, yet unconvincingly on Booking.com. However, as she had contacted us twice prior to arrival to confirm that we would be arriving on the day booked for, on neither occasion did she indicate that the room that we thought we had booked (and clearly indicated on our Booking.com confirmation) was not available. Bearing in mind that we arrived after a heavy day trekking around Alton Towers (before returning for a second day), last thing we needed was a room mix up. - Full balance payment taken two days before our actual arrival for no reason (never experienced that anywhere else). Did subsequently receive a small refund due to wrong room inconvenience. - Shower (we stayed in Room 1 in the end) was basically a converted closet (very small). Some mould on bottom of shower curtain also. - Wi-Fi non-existent despite it's claim.
Welcome cup if tea & cake & helpful with dinner choice.
Room was very small & the bathroom really small & all could have been cleaner.
Served breaky in bed, ordered taxis Put restaurants forward
Brilliant location for Alton Towers, huge suite of rooms with plenty of room for the 5 of us. Breakfast was huge, the best we'd ever eaten in any B&B and the guys helped me out immensely by sending on my forgotten wallet!
Can be a wee bit noisy depending on your neighbours!
Location to Alton towers was great only 2miles. The mobile home was just perfect, kept me and my friends all under one roof. Our own little space to enjoy our trip. Lovely place to stay, excellent breakfast and fabulous value for money. We will definitley book again. Thank u very much
Only one small thing was we were unable to get connected to wifi, but that did not in anyway bother us. Just to let you know. Thank you.
Very nice private garden and guest house, ideal for Alton Towers.
Wi-Fi although there and picked up signal, was quite slow.
location (rural) breakfast shower room
room for 5 and only 1 chair no wifi as listed cups instead of mugs no cake on arrival as others claimed
We had a very good night at Alton Brook House and breakfast was delicious! The staff member that looked after us was lovely. She tried very hard to accommodate any requests we had.
My only minor gripe about the room was the towel rail could have done with being decorated. The rest was as you'd expect for a b&b. just what we needed. I am surprised that the description says the house is 2.6 miles from Alton Towers as it was actually more than 5 miles. We worked this out before we went so were not too worried, but the description should be changed.
Lovely room, great service, excellent breakfast
The bathroom was tiny
the hospitality of staff was warm and welcoming the rooms were of good size and comfort the breakfast was tasty and plenty of option HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY
suggestion of asking on requirements for breakfast to eliminate the waste and cost to Alton Brook
The distance from the park
Due to the room we booked not being available we were squeezed into a double room with a 'put me up' bed, not really enough room to move but we were offered the use of the sitting room that we declined as I wouldn't have left my 5 year old in a strange room alone in case he woke up
