Alton Brook House

The hotel was perfect distance from Alton Towers, very clean, friendly and elegant hotel, couldnt do enough for us! Would definitely recommend and return.

its Not Very Quiet at night time and in the day time 1. Hotel staff / food we felt we could not relex eating our food keep asking us we are ok but its to much. just say it one's

What a little gem! We had the family suite which consisted of 2 rooms, one with a double bed and one with a double and 2 singles but both were located in a seperate wing of the house with a lockable door on the landing. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff were very hospitable and friendly.

We were made to feel very welcome. The lady who served our delicious breakfast in the morning was extremely friendly and knew lots of local knowledge. Very close to Alton Towers, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Thank you.

Very friendly relaxed atmosphere, made to feel very welcome, food and accommodation were excellent.

Its proximity to Alton towers! Freedom to come and go. Wi Fi access a real bonus. Owners friendly but not obtrusive.

They were welcoming, friendly and helpful, lovely breakfast, charming house and very comfortable room. Very useful for us as we were visiting Alton Towers which is only a ten minute drive away. We arrived late and they gave my son a diet coke and me a small bottle of wine to have in our rooms free of charge which was very kind.

N/a! Though there is one thing : we arrived after dark and it was a bit difficult to find. The house is down a country lane with no lighting and there is only a small sign placed on the grass at ground level on the side of the road saying " Alton Brookhouse" and it was difficult to see it!! They could do with a better sign placed higher up so it is easier to locate them.

Great welcome from Jo. Tea and cake on arrival. Our next break is in Tenerife, and Jo who lived there for 5 years, gave us lots of helpful advice. Excellent breakfast.

En suite was a little cramped

We were welcomed by Lisa and immediately felt comfortable and well looked after - our family room was perfect, comfortable and clean, everything we needed to know was explained about the facilities and breakfast arrangements. My Father-in-law stayed in a double room which was lovely and equally comfortable with every necessary convenience available. Breakfast was huge, varied and delicious - and my fussy eating habits were well catered for. Perfect location for access to Alton Towers - very beautiful old house, just to my taste, I couldn't have chosen better for our family weekend away - thank you Lisa and family - for your friendly and helpful manner. We had a great time and would definitely return in the future!

Very close to Alton Towers theme park which was the main reason we chose this location .

It was close to Alton Towers which was the purpose of our stay. The room was a good size and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was plentiful and very nice.

Considering it was more expensive than our previous hotel, I think a bath would have been nice and biscuits and shampoo should be standard.

We were not sure about the procedure at end of the evening for shutting up communal areas. The ensuite bathroom to the double room was a little cramped.

Lovely welcome from owner who brought tea and cake up to our room, gave us some info re breakfast etc and then left us alone. Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. Fantastic breakfast with friendly and attentive service. Would recommend this lovely B&B.

Shower in our room looked a bit tired and in need of new sealant and grout and the bath plug was missing( not a problem for us as we always carry a universal one) and I'm sure the owners would have sorted it if I had mentioned it.

We stayed here for only 1 night as we had visited Alton Towers for the day which is close by. The Alton brook house was ideally situated only approx 2.5 miles from Alton Towers and was very easy to find from there using road signs and we had sat nav in our car. The hotel itself was very cosy, with lovely rural surroundings but still had mod cons such as tv/DVD and free wi-fi access, which was handy! The staff were very friendly but not to over bearing (which some can be!) and left us to it but offered tea/cake and assisted us in the direction to s lovely Indian restaurant only about 1.5 miles away in Uttoxeter, a nice small town which also had a telco for fuel, etc. All in all we had a great stay, cosy comfy room and breakfast was fab! Would definitely recommend staying here.

super rural location within easy/quick reach of alton towers. staff very friendly - cake and drinks on arrival was a nice touch. breakfast superb and served by Jo who was lovely. the family suite was ideal with 2 bedrooms and bathroom - traditional fixtures and decor in rustic style. would highly recommend especially for those with families and/or visiting alton towers.

Alton Brook House is a lovely country house located only 10 minutes drive from Alton towers. Prior to our arrival we received a text message confirming our arrival time and upon our arrival were greeted and shown to our room. We had a lovely spacious double en suite with an incredibly comfy bed, then we were treated to tea and cake on the terrace. They have an agreement with a local taxi for cheap rides into the local town (£5) with numerous restaurants and pubs, the staff were only too happy to offer advice and a nice glass of wine whilst we waited. Breakfast the following morning was fantastic, a Full English plus cereal, yoghurt, croissants and more! Overall I could not have rated this guest house highly enough. Would definitely recommend!

Only 1 tiny thing, the sign is a little hidden, us 3 passes to find it.

Me and my daughter chose the Alton Brook hotel as it is only a ten minute drive to Alton Towers! On arrival I was extremely impressed with how lovely and peaceful the hotel is with a lovely,peaceful garden to sit outside and relax! Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. The breakfast that was provided was wow!!!! lovely coissants, pancakes, pain o chocolate, fruit, fol lowed by bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, sausage and toast with fruit juice, tea or coffee fab!!! me and my daughter enjoyed our stay at the Alton Brook hotel and would stay there again as it was perfect and great before the hectic day at Alton Towers.
