The whole stay was superb and the staff were brilliant. The food was nice, and we got both a reduced rate as a last minute deal, and a complementary bottle of wine on arrival. The bed was uncomfortable and hurt my back after sleeping on it for just a few hours (room 106), and I would have really liked the option to have beans and hash browns with the list of items available for breakfast. |

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is of a good standard and quality. Tiles in bathroom at shower were in need of freshening. Grouting was stained and needs at least replacing. |

Comfortable & cosy rooms, good breakfast Shower pressure not good, rooms could be planned better as they are not that big, long walk to town centre |

My son and I were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very friendly and accomodating at any time of day and evening for both our needs. At night they made us feel very welcome in the lounge area with the bar/tv/computer and made it easy for us to talk to other residents by them including everyone which made nice evenings sat chatting instead of us sat in our room watching the tv on our own. |

Free parking, good staff excellent manager. Ease of access into hotel, ok to walk into city but not too often allthough taxi is only £3.50. Good breakfast and very clean. Could do with a bit of attention to detail in the rooms, ie bed not great and hot water pressure in sink tap poor. Tap needs tightening up. But overall very good. |

It was excellent value for money. The breakfast was superb and the staff were friendly. The room was small but it wasn't really any detriment. |

The staff were friendly and efficient, and the location was close to the city centre. The room was spartan, and the shower was very poor.Although a non smoking room, stale tobacco smell hit you on entering the room.I thought it was more like a motel than a hotel. |

friendly staff - good a la carte breakfast - nice but rather warm room - easy parking - The "easy walking distance to the town" (10 min.) is actually a 25 minutes walk for a good walker (more than 1 m) but there's a bus line facing the hotel and calling at 50 Yds. Very tiny pressure in the shower; better take a bath. |

Staff were friendly. The bathroom needed a good scrubbing and the shower curtain was mouldy and should be replaced. Furnishings were also tired and grubby. Cooked breakfast was not good .. I think my bacon had 'gone off'. |

Acceptable location (ca 20 min to the centre of Chester). Privacy - we got a room with private entrance from outside. Very reasonable rate. Come the opportunity - we would gladly stay there again . Breakfast was limited in choice, although not too bad. |
