fixed head shower position of mirror matress decor
Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was good for what we required. I would stay there again
Not far from airport and great to be right next door to pub
A very nice room, quiet and with a lovely shower. Very good, well-priced food in the Pelican.
Is it really in Altrincham? A bit if a walk from Timperley Station, but lots of buses pass the hotel.
This place gives excellent value for money and is very friendly and helpful. Will be back.
The bed was quite comfortable :-)
I found the room very warm, with only the small window opening which was also restricted in how far it opened, there was however a fan in the room which did help, not conducive with a quiet night however :-(
Dated decor Dated building
stayed here before , good location for tram to old Trafford, plenty parking nice pub next door, clean room, comfy bed.
not being able to check in on arrival, check in is from 3, but if going football then it would be nice to checkk in first instead of after the game.
Quite good for airport
Comfort, cleanliness, staff, location
Friendly staff Good value for money
clean, comfy, friendly and cheap hotel. I always stay there when I visit family in uk as I always feel at home there. It is not noisy, plenty of parking, but not far from buses to manchester all you could want really.
Bed was comfortable.
Decor was shabby. Room was too hot.
room was well presented and clean
room smelt a bit smokey
Convenient to our needs. Water was always hot for showering, tea and coffee freely available.we have used the lodge yearly for many years..
We have used the lodge for many years. It is a choice of family background as my husbands father helped to build the Pelican many years ago. I was dissapointed this time round to see how standards have dropped we asked for accessible room we were put upstairs. Neither of us smoke, but the room stank of stale smoke.the cushion trimming the bed was badly stained. I brought this to the recepton area and made a complaint. The gentleman who was in reception but looked as he didn't belong there said he would switch us to the groundfloor. When we went for a meal later it was quite obvious staff had spoken about us as there was no eye contact made. Several times during our 2 day stay it was quite evident that people were smoking in the rooms. I feel staff were also doing the same. The receptionist on saturday was seen outside smoking in front of guests. This does not look very proffesional.where I work smokers have to leave public areas. I have no problem with smokers but would prefer not to walk through the fog they create.
Price comfortable bed easy access to restaurant
Tired fixtures and fittings
Good clean and convenient accomodation for overnight stay before flight from Manchester airport.Very quiet and comfortable.Lovely staff very welcoming, will definitely stay again.
Nothing to dislike
The hotel were friendly and had free coffee
Walking to Manchester and the price of the trams
accessibility and free parking
Stayed here for one night for the football. Was welcomed by a very friendly lady. The room was better than expected, all furniture in good condition. Bathroom was nice and clean with enough towels, and had actual shower and shampoo bottles dispensers instead of the usual dinky little sachets! The room had a nice armchair to sit in which was perfect for me as I had just had a long journey, it was too comfy and fell asleep in it once I arrived! There was loads of storage space too. A fan was available but didn't use it, and they supplied the usual tea and coffee and sugar etc. The bed had a lamp next to each side. TV had sufficient channels on Freeview. It had a pub next door where I had a cheeseburger and chips and hot wings, and it was delicious! Pints were only £2.30!! Very handy! And they did breakfast too, the menu was huge. There are also lots of other places to eat on the same street. The Timperley metrolink station is only a 10 minute walk. When I checked out the next day they let me leave my car there for when I came back from the match.
Only very small issues such as the TV remote not having a standby button! Or at least I couldn't figure it out (tried all the buttons). Also, a few biscuits with the tea would have been nice;) Other than that not many things wrong with this place, yes it's not the ritz but what you get for the price is worth it.
rooms were spacious
the shower space too small
Its well located for access by road and convenient to get to old Trafford and into Manchester. Free WiFi is a bit of a rarity and a very pleasant change.
The staff were friendly and helpful The room was very clean and well presented The Lodge was well run and quiet in the evening and night time so I was well relaxed
I cannot think of anything in this category
The rooms are spacious and clean (apart from a large number of cigarette ends outside on the window sill)
No cereal offered at breakfast in the Pelican pub adjacent to the hotel
clean tidy room friendly staff good nights sleep
