Score from 182 reviews Very good
nice quite room
Stayed a couple of times, only 5 miles from old trafford. The price makes it a good option. Very nice counter staff, good rooms, and great food in the pub next door.
traveled with a baby and staff were very helpfull and interested in thier work.
good place to stay for going to football
Handy for an overnight stop before flying from Manchester airport.Car park on site. Pub attached with reasonable priced meals
Decor tired (but clean) Would describe it as a motel rather than a hotel as when pub closed there is no lounge or other facilities
Everything was on hand,eg. the room was clean and tidy with a good bathroom. The meals at the lodge were very good, and breakfast excelant.
Liked the convenience of parking. Also liked he pelican pub on site. Liked the 24 hour reception desk and security.
It was cheap, clean and cheerful, the staff were very friendly. We were attending an event elsewhere so just wanted somewhere to sleep that wasn't expensive. It did the job!
Pelican pub serves great foods. The steaks are mouth watering. If you are near give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Staff at the pub are very friendly.
Hotel reception very shabby. One of the receptionist (female) needs to be more friendly with guests, very uptight at times and responsive with a take it or leave it attitude. Other than that, all was fine!
Too hot. No lift. The long walk from one end of the hotel to reception (exit). A skip piled high with rubbish in the car park.
The room was very clean with all that you would need for 1-2 days stay.
Could not air the room as small window only opened partly however being on the ground floor understand this is for security reasons. Breakfast in the Pelican was not such a good experience, couldn't get in as staff had locked doors as she was on her own, long wait for food for reason above, only 2 options for breakfast, no coffee as machine not working. However when breakfast arrived food was good. I went back an hour later for just a coffee and machine still not on.
Close to the tram station.
Nowhere to get food in the area after hours. No room service, no drinking water provided in rooms, stains on sheets, very small rooms, no phone, no welcome pack. The bathroom extractor fan was incredibly noisy and broken so it wouldn't turn off. The breakfast was very disappointing, we had to wait about half an hour just for our order to be taken, then our friends joined us shortly after but were told they would have to wait for their orders to be taken, all in all we ended up having to eat at different times and people having to sit and watch others eat even though we were at the same table and wanted to order for the table. When we finally did get the breakfast the egg was not properly cooked and a guest who doesn't drink hot drinks was told he couldn't have an orange juice, so had to have water. Terrible service and waiting times, it wasn't even busy, only one other table, but the one lady might have been cooking, serving and doing it all herself, this wasn't great.
The location great to and from the airport, and access to the M60, nice and quiet with a pub with great food.
The bed was a bit too soft and the WiFi a bit hit and miss.
Good location, close to main roads without suffering from noise. Clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi available. Excellent value for money. Accomodation is better than pictures suggest.
Not a lot to dislike, if I was being picky I would say bathroom was a little tired, but it was clean and functional and would not stop me returning.
Smoke smell very strong
Small yet comfortable clean room with soft bed.
Wi-fi was patchy - I expected better signal as my room was closer to reception
plenty of hot water shower great comfortable bed cheap breakfast
Good location. Quiet rooms, comfortable bed. Nice pint in the pub next door.
Accommodation was fine however the food was poor unless you want everything to taste of onion.
Excellent value for money. Good pub next door
Mattress a bit soft Shower very small
Warm and quiet
everything will be going again x
Convenient for where we needed to be. helpful staff at breakfast with good tips to get through traffic, good to have convenient parking space
Bathroom could have been a lot cleaner, looked ready for re-furbishing Only cooked breakfast- no fruit, cereals or juice, but it was only £3-99 ,
Friendliness & helpfulness of staff Reasonable parking space
Limited breakfast menu No list of recommended local dining facilities as alternative to Pelican
