Great Location to get into town and back on foot. Fair sized room. Very basic 'full' english breakfast, that on the busy morning felt rushed.

We loved the beautiful Victorian design of the Bed and Breakfast. The food was very good and a true English breakfast. The room was larger and more comfortable with a very nice shower, which was better for a tall couple than the other European hotels that we have stayed. The location was perfect for walking all around the city. We will definitely stay there again as the owner made our stay very enjoyable by being so personable and attentive. We felt that it was pricey for a B&B.

The location was excellent, being a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The hotel was very welcoming, being warm and cosy and our room was very clean, bright and comfortable. The breakfast was most enjoyable and Colin ,the owner was very helpful. Our car was parked at the rear within the gated grounds, so, we knew it would be perfectly secure. We enjoyed our short break and if in the area for a holiday again, we would certainly be happy to stay there .

A warm welcome and everything explained to us regarding our stay. Clean room and comfy bed.The room was warm and comfortable. A very good full english breakfast. The Alvera is just across the road from the Harrogate International Center and very close to a number of good restaurants. I would recommend the Alvera to anyone staying in Harrogate.

The owner Colin was very helpful and the breakfasts were good. The bedroom I had was a bit tried looking and the shower room very small, however there was plenty of hot water! The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were hard too. But I am very fussy over beds!

Some of the noise from the rooms above penetrates through to the lower floor. Not a major issue.

Stayed for 2 nights at the Alvera Court, our room was very spacious, with a large double bed, and was very comfortable, we had the choice 2 types of tea and coffee's with enought for at least 4 cups each with biscuites. There was complementry bathroom accsesseries as well as bathrobes. The room had dressing table and something that at time is lacking in some hotels and that was plenty of sockets. The walk in cupboard with plenty of hanging space. The breakfast was very nice with china cockery which was very nice. All in all a highly recommened hotel The only negative about this hotel was that the weather was a bit chilly and found the room a bit cold and heating was not on. But I do feel the cold.

Comfortable room with good facilities. Short walk to town centre. Off- street parking and attentive service. Bathroom rather cramped due to large bath/shower. Breakfast choice rather limited for fresh fruit, bread etc, although traditional cooked breakfast very good.
