Location was good. Bed was too short as it had a board at the bottom. Bathroom, especially shower was tiny and my husband is not ! TV was fuzzy. Food was undercooked. Payment was taken in full on booking whereas my understanding was my c/c was for security of payment and we would pay in full as we left.

The location of Alvera Court is very handy for the centre of Harrogate approximately 10 minute walk. Comfortable bedroom, breakfast good. Could do with a bit of a make-over. Outdated decor downstairs. A bit tricky getting into the carpark.

The location was excellent, being a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The hotel was very welcoming, being warm and cosy and our room was very clean, bright and comfortable. The breakfast was most enjoyable and Colin ,the owner was very helpful. Our car was parked at the rear within the gated grounds, so, we knew it would be perfectly secure. We enjoyed our short break and if in the area for a holiday again, we would certainly be happy to stay there .

A warm welcome and everything explained to us regarding our stay. Clean room and comfy bed.The room was warm and comfortable. A very good full english breakfast. The Alvera is just across the road from the Harrogate International Center and very close to a number of good restaurants. I would recommend the Alvera to anyone staying in Harrogate.

“It was a great experience - it was full of history and had a really interesting book about the hotel in the room. We had a really fun time pretending we were living in 1910 - the dining room is particularly ornate and luxurious, with awesome food. We also had a good time in the swimming pool, as well as exploring the vastness of the hotel and its grounds. I can see why it's been a top choice of Prime Ministers for a century!” Roland, York |
