Grounds and front of hotel were beautiful. The location was excellent, just outside of the town centre but close to everything. Rooms were spacious and well kept. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Double beds were two singles together. In our case one slightly lower than the other. Meals too expensive for current climate. |

The rooms were of excellent standard, especially the comfort of the beds. Very quiet. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the bar area and excellent service. The service at breakfast was poor. If you have to employ foreigners, make sure they can speak and understand the English language. Slow service and did not get what we asked for due probably to language problem. |

the staff were extremely friendly and accomodating and the situation of the hotel was perfect for the river and shopping and theaters the first night we were there we could not get any sleep as it was so hot and our large window could not be opened and we could not get the air conditioning to work so the heat was unbearable, however after about half an hour of frustrating playing with the air conditioner the next day managed to get it going- left it on just in case it wouldnt work later that night. |

The hotel is big and with good environment, and a very unique hotel as well. Staff are helpful especially in helping out in booking tickets for Shakespear's Theatre and to speed up the food delivery time when they're aware that i needa rush to the theatre for the play. Steak at the Grill can do better! Mine was a bit too overdone and hope i can try some tender steak next time. But overall the food quality are good and i'm impressed with the presentation of the food. Quite trendy presentation in such an tradtional hotel! Good try! |

Good shower and very close to the town centre. Very nice bar. I had to park round the back of the hotel quite a distance from my room. The dining room stopped taking orders at 10pm. I arrived at the hotel late in the evening and would have liked to have been given the opportunity to perhaps have a main course only in the restaurant if there was not enough time to have a full 3 course meal. |

The fact that after we complained about the fact that our first room had been used after cleaning, had litter all over the place and used towels etc, we were moved to a better room with a pleasanter aspect that was clean! The fact that it was a shock to arrive in a dirty room for a celebration break with my partner and then to wait for 45mins while it was sorted out was a bit of a problem |

The closeness to the rsc Theatre, and the size of the swimming pool. Overall the hotel was quite pricey, and the restaurant was very expensive particularly bearing in mind the good choice of restauarnts in the town itself. |

The Alveston Manor is a very well appointed hotel in an excellent location close to the centre of town. The staff are, without exception, friendly and helpful at all times. |
