Full english breakfast was outstanding. Cant complain for the price.
Couldnt see the telly propley and the bar wasnt open at 10 clock when we wanted a nightcap but saying that we still enjoyed our stay.
Almost everything except breakfast
Breakfast ok and bar we'll stocked
Only Parking available for 4 doubled parked vehicles at a squeeze. Hotel is dated and smells of cigarette smoke. Rooms very small with a tiny toilet/shower room
This hotel was great for us all the staff are very friendly and the owner dave is a right laugh we plan to go again soon
David the boss is a cool man!!!
Stayed 1 night Friendly staff Lovely breakfast selection
enjoyed breakfast, good choice of cereals.
The location is always a bonus with this hotel as it is 5 min walk from the sea front. Staff were great and very helpful
It was my 4th visit to the alviston and it is in a definate need of a refurb, the first room we were in the carpets were coming up on the middle of the floor and the tv wasn't working, wouldn't normally bother but myself and pals had agreed to go back early and chill out before going out on the evening and we switched rooms with no problems. The second room looked as tho the base of my bed had broken and they had covered it with a sheet of mdf, also no springs in this mattress,I don't normally complain as it's the 4th time we had stayed here but another hotel on our next visit
Politeness & friendliness of staff. Staff were keen to ensure your food was prepared to your exact requirements. Quality, quantity and varied selection of food.
Location close to all the fun but not too close no night nose. Family room we were in was excellent with nice little touches on arrival. Breakfast was excellent. Felt very lucky to drop on this b&b out of so many b&b in Blackpool.
Very friend team.
Alviston clean..staff made us feel very welcome, breakfast was lovely and Dave the owner such a laugh, on our last day we had to wait til 2pm for our train,Dave sat outside in the sun with us having such a giggle n let me keep my bags in office and charge my phone, great location too will defo be back :)
That it was close to what we required..ie winter gardens, shops, etc
our room was dirty, it had not been hoovered and I had to ask for the sink in bathroom to be cleaned as it was filthy and had hairs in it. The owner made the excuse that he was tired and that he had to clean it??
The bloke that owns the place is easy going & laid back. He had great interaction with guests & a good sense of humour. Perfect for a stag do! Breakfast was bang on.
Good basic accommodation. Clean and Bathroom was spotless and beds comfy. Very good cooked English breakfast and the lady that served us was polite and couldn't do enough for us.
Rooms are a little dated. Walls thin.
Location & price. Breakfast & the breakfast staff. Clean linen on beds.
Where do I start... Filthy walls & carpets, only one plug working in bedroom, really old furniture in bedrooms, old carpets ~ large stag parties in with families & children ~ men swearing and drinking ~ same sex parties coming in at 4am and next night 6.10am!! Not being quiet waking you up and swearing loudly, foul & very vile language can be heard from other bedrooms, thin walls, ~ do not stay here if you are going as a family or with young children. ~ the street itself is full of b&bs with hen & stags its very noisy at all times of the day, they sit outside smoking & swearing then drinking on a night - owner sits outside smoking nearly 99% of the time. Great if you are a stag or hen party then book this as staff are friendly & lovely and breakfasts were really lovely & clean beds/linen. Not many spaces in car park you have to park up the street at £5 per day.
How close it was to our needs for winter gardens
Smelt of smoke , didn't seem to be staff about all the time for anythink we needed . Door was open at 11 wen we arrived back thought was a bit unsafe for young children staying on the premises
fantastic breakfast, with a wide choice of cereal, fruit grapefruit and tasty full english
decor a bit tired
The breakfast was good.
Cramped room and bathroom. Wouldn't give it a 3 star rating more like a 1 or 2. Needs updating.
Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, choice varied
No hot water in room, had to go to another room for a shower which made us late
The owner was very informative and friendly, the beds were comfy and tea and coffee facilities were great.
The breakfast staff were quite rude.
The breakfast was nice
The room allocated for our 1 night was terrible. We were woken up at 3.30am by the loud continuous noise of a what we can only describe as sounding like a generator. This went on until 9am. The manager was very ignorant when we complained and did not even apologise or offer any refund. Not acceptable would not recommend
room a bit small
