Just off the A299, only 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the beaches and the heart of Whitstable's town centre, the hotel offers comfortable, great-value rooms and free parking.

A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.
Score from 311 reviews Fabulous
With a 4-star rating, this characteristic pub with an open fire and beams offers home cooked cuisine.

The welcome was great and the breakfast excellent
We did not realise the bathroom was not en suite although we did have exclusive use of it
everything - the room is perfectly designed, everything you need is there - fan, shower gel, tea, coffee, water, comfort! I am a girl and for me it was perfect - i felt like a queen :)
only that I had to wait for a bus, cause its not central and buses do not come often. 20 min from the centre though.
Dot and Geoffery are perfect hosts, a very warm and friendly welcome, room ver comfortable and clean, everything that you require. Breakfast top class Location very good, if you have no car bus stop is just outside door. The friendliest welcome I received on my trip, would reccomend to everyone.
The service was excellent, extremely coming and a great night sleep. Would highly recommend!
The parking was good. The room was nicely furnished. The owners were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
I am 6 ft. 3" tall so the double bed in our room was rather on the small size. This is why we usually choose a Premier Inn as our default accommodation. Other guests arrived at midnight and woke us up banging on the front door (Grrr!). I fully accept that our hosts had no control over this as it way they that had to get up and let them in.
Proprietors very welcoming. We were able to store bikes and accomodation not far from cycle and walking routes. Ground floor room is disabled accessible and has walk in shower. Excellent breakfast.
T.V. was difficult to get working.
The room was very comfortable and clean. Not only was there freeview tv, but also freesat, so there was a greater choice of tv viewing. The breakfast was superb, with a choice of fruit, cereal and yoghurts as well as a full English breakfast. Location is ideal for visiting offspring at the nearby University of Kent. Having a bus stop virtually outside the B+B, it is convenient for Canterbury as well as the coastal resorts of Whitstable and Herne Bay - the bus service is great, being on a triangular route between these 3 locations. There are busus as frequently as one every 10 minutes. Oh, and great hosts. A tip for finding Amadis B+B (it is a B+B after all, not a hotel). Put the address into Google maps then drag the little orange man onto that area - you can clearly see the B+B (which has the zig-zags leading to a pedestrian crossing immediately outside the drive). This will make it much easier to visualise the area when looking for the Amadis.
Breakfast good. Staff friendly. Very clean.
'Private house' B&B. Our twin room rather cramped, with sloping ceilings, a bit stuffy so we needed windows open - so commuter traffic woke us early. Bathroom sole use but not en suite. Hosts tried hard but room should be 20% cheaper imho.
Great location, good bus routes to/from Whitstable and Canterbury. Great breakfast including full english, variety of fresh fruits and yoghurts.Dot and Geoff are the friendliest B&B host I have come across for a long time. We look forward to coming back again!
Dorothy was really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and the fry up was really nice. Bedrooms were really comfortable and clean.
This was an excellent Bed and Breakfast, in a peaceful location and welcoming hosts. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Every effort was made to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Well recommended.
The owner Dot was a charming woman and made us feel very welcome in her home. We couldn't have wanted for more
The location wasn't ideal but there's a regular bus service into Canterbury
Cleanliness, good choice at breakfast, good local pubs for evening meals, friendly owner
wet room, noisy road
The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were spotless and comfortable and everything had been thought of. Breakfast was in their own living / dining room and it was excellent with every need catered for.
The only slight draw back for me was the sound of traffic early in the morning. The house is set well back off the road but it was warm and so the windows were open and so heard the traffic as it was a weekday. I live in a quiet road so other people might not notice.
Hospitality of the owner. Room was good size with sat TV and wi-fi Breakfast was excellent.
Can't think of anything I didn't like
Very friendly hosts
the room i had was as clean as a new pin, it was very friendly and a happy atmosphere. Would stay there again
- very nice and comfortable Stay
Location, breakfast, close to bus stop and shop.
Bed was very lumpy, could feel springs, hard to sleep on, room rather small.
Amadis was conveniently located on a bus route, clean, comfortable with friendly and very accommodating hosts. We so enjoyed our 5-day stay and would definitely recommend! The breakfasts were excellent - and Dot and Goeff were flexible as to the morning schedule. Highly recommend!!!!
Lovely bedrooms Comfy beds Nice bathrooms Very clean Peaceful Excellent breakfast Very friendly and obliging staff Good value for money Good nights sleep Will definitely stay again
Friendly welcoming great breakfast, what's not to like?
lovely couple, very friendly. we felt at home during our stay. the place was very clean, breakfast was excellent. what else could you wish for ?
The owners are very friendly and helpful. the place is clean and nice.
The breakfasts were great; especially after a lovely peaceful nights sleep. The hosts were so friendly and really helpful; would definitely recommend Amadis.
