A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.

Friendly welcoming great breakfast, what's not to like?

The owners are very friendly and helpful. the place is clean and nice.
The breakfasts were great; especially after a lovely peaceful nights sleep. The hosts were so friendly and really helpful; would definitely recommend Amadis.
Very friendly hosts, Geoff and Dot. Made me feel very welcome. Spotless room, an excellent breakfast. Would not hesitate to book again.
Excellent location for both Whitstable and Canterbury, very friendly and welcoming owners. The breakfast was fantastic and everything was spotlessly clean.
Being on a good bus route. Friendliness of hosts. Cleanliness of facilities
The Amadis was a quiet retreat for me. I had been ill the day I arrived and found my room to be a restful haven to lie my head. In the morning I felt refreshed and thoroughly enjoyed my English breakfast. Dorothy & Geoff were wonderful & pleasant hosts. I also enjoyed the company of their little dog. Thanks you for sharing your home with me.
The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was excellent with a very good choice. Would happily stay again.
The rooms were comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything you would need from a b&b. The breakfast was fabulous with a choice of fruit, cereal, yoghurts and of course a full English accompanied by tea or coffee and toast. Very enjoyable!!!
There was nothing we didn't like about Amadis
I didn't like the fact that some light bulbs were not functioning
excellent breakfast. on bus route to Canterbury and Whitstable.
lack of guest lounge
I had a great one night stay at the Amadis at the end of May 2014. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and had all facilities required and the breakfast was amazing. Especially liked their dog, Paddy, aswell! made me feel at home!
Parking and Wi-Fi
Liked it all. Pity did not have time to stay longer
very welcoming, beautiful house, lovely ironed bed linen, fantastic breakfast, everything perfect.
Loved that it was close to University of Kent campus so was very convenient. Nice that it's right on the bus line and close to some great walking trails. Dot was very friendly and a pleasure to stay with.
Proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast and environment. Lovely breakfast room with very good choices of hot or cold breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful people, very nice breakfast
This is a lovely bed & breakfast with very obliging and welcoming hosts - we couldn't have asked for more. This was our second stay and will certainly not be our last.
Nice country house, fantastic and romantic.
Very friendly host. Clean, nice bedroom and bathroom. Excellent English breakfast.
easy to find good breakfast good bedroom - i had the wet room
An excellent B&B with very welcoming and friendly hosts. The room was clean and very comfortable and the breakfast provided a great start to the day. Location was excellent for transport to the city with the bus stop virtually at the front door. I would thoroughly recommend this B&B to those visiting Canterbury and nearby locations.
I had one of my most pleasant stays here. The B&B is perfectly located, ultimate countryside feeling but the city center is only a 15 minute drive away. Very convenient connection to the university too (bus stop right outside). The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Dorothy and Geoff are very friendly and attentive, they really do their best to make you feel at home - thank you for everything! If I ever come back to Canterbury again, I would definitely not stay anywhere else.
