Very nice breakfast every morning. Very convenient for the wedding we attended at the hotel across the street. Helpful by providing wheelchair for my mother to use during our stay. Confusing on arrival. Rooms 117 & 119 are actually in separate buildings as the hotel used to be 4 (?) separate hotels, each with its own stair case and lift. Lovingly referred to the hotel as "Fawlty Towers" |

Everything! The owners of this hotel are deluded and need to take account of the market conditions and the competition. The en-suite was badly designed and dirty so much so that the wife refused to use the shower. At the present time the maximum tariff should be £40 for double occupancy - breakfast optional. |

The relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent and the view from our bedroom very good. The shower was very outdated as it was fixed rigidly to the wall with no movement. I was not keen on the wash-hand basin being in the bedroom. |

We only stayed for one night so it is difficult to comment. The breakfast was very nice. The staff were helpful and courteous. The outside of the hotel was in need of redecoration. |

the way they settle your bills they take your card and then hold the amount until departuture but when i came to look at your bank it looks like they have taken it out twice which they havent but i can not get the holding amount out yet and its been a few day since we left i think they should let you pay on arrival and pay for any extras as you go like they do in the brittania hotels |

Without a doubt the Staff were excellent - could not be more helpful. The Breakfast was the best meal of the day - very nice indeed. The location of the hotel was perfect for what ever activity you were doing. The evening meal was really poor. I complained at the time and we were not charged for the meal. Once again the service provided by the Management was faultless - weel done. |

Excellent location, comfortable clean room, friendly efficient staff, clean and tidy dining room with a good selection for our plentyful breakfasts. Have already recommended and could easily stay at this hotel again. Booked online the night before our arrival - simple procedure but efficient. Lack of car parking spaces, but this is applicable to all the hotels. Our stay at the Ambassador wasn't spoilt by this minor criticism. |

The room was clean The hotel behaved very badly by charging me more money than the booked price. The added a "credit card fee" to the bill despite that not being advised in advance. As far as I am concerned that is illegal and I will be complaining to trading standards about this. Complaining at the time did not resolve the issue, the "Duty Manager" claimed he had no authority at all. The hotel did not serve breakfast before 8.15 which makes it useless as a business hotel. |
