Although the hotel was in a rather run down contidion and perhaps not in the moat desirable of locations, the staff were most helpful ensuring that my disabled mother had the use of a room on the ground floor, and the rooms we were given were warm, clean and very comfortable, and certainly served the porpose, and better than a two hour drive home late at night, would not hesitate to use this hotel again

The location was really good for the price- it was a ten minute walk to town and had adequate parking. The room was cold, the staff were a tad abrasive, there was inconsistency in the hot water, the shower curtain had mould at the bottom of it, only one decent sized towel for two people, no breakfast despite the price, the tv had one channel and kept going off and to top it off there was a really strong draft coming through the room at all times. Really avoid this if you want to be comfortable. It's ok for a one night stay etc.

It was friendly enough they were a nice enough indian family that were pleased to welcome you, it had free wireless internet in the room and with a tv with freeview channels it was ok for me for 2 nights The one thing that was annoying was that there is no food at the hotel, you cant get breakfast, which would have been nice to be included in the £40 per night fee! The photos show a bar and restaurant but you wont get anything from them, they are shut! i went next door to the petrol station for my orange juice.

It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The male receptionist had very limited English. Most of our conversation was conducted in gestures. There was no mention of breakfast, although there was a restaurant downstairs that I was unaware of till I left. When I left the next morning (10.0am) there was no one at all in reception, and the front door was unlocked. I could not ask about transport to the city centre as no one was there. I had to take a card from the desk in order to call a taxi.

Staff were very good and tried to make sure everything was ok. Room clean and the bed comfy. I wasnt impressed that they tried to take payment before I arrived. The credit card is to secure the booking and payment if I do not show up. I may have wanted to pay cash or use a different card which invariably I do.

It was a well presented hotel with all the facilities needed for our stay to be both enjoyable and functional. The staff were friendly and helpful and the standard of service was in our opinion far better than we first expected, this hotel is well worth four to five stars due to the level of service.

The location was perfect for where I needed to be. I didn't think the hotel was suitable for a single female, given the number of contractors staying. Corridors smelt of damp and the shower had significant leak. Also didn't appear to be any way of alerting the owners.

The reception was good. On business, so it served as a cheap rest halt. Good breakfast. You get what you pay for. I was dissapointed the Dining room had closed. The bedrooms/bathrooms are very tired.

Carpet looked as if it hadn't been clean. Bad quality mattress. Small room. Shower was terrible. Water was only boiling hot meaning we didn't get to shower before work.

It was cheap Everything about it was cheap. Be prepared to take your own towels ( if you need more than one small towel each to dry after a shower ) , linen ( if you want it to feel clean ) , iron ( although they supply an ironing board ). You get what you pay for, won't be going again

The hotel was easy walking distance to town centre, and had ample parking at the back. The proprietor was very pleasant and helpful. The whole place seemed a bit run down and in need of refurb and when we arrived the front door was locked and we had to phone to get someone to let us in!

The car park was right outside my windonw and at 03.50am lots of workmen left the hotel and woke me up and then every half hour more workmen left the hotel talking loudly. It was a very noisy hotel. High speed wifi was not high speed either.

On more than one occasion people tried to get into our room (even with a do not disturb sign on the door). I do not no if this was staff or other guest, but obviously quite unnerving, and our room was in sight of reception. Although I would be willing to give it another try
