Score from 408 reviews Very good
Although we only stayed for one night, we found the Hotel to be in just the right location for exploring that part of Glasgow, made all the better by the good September weather....
being on the third floor.....
A must to stay here, excellent location right near the West End where there are lots of cafes and restaurants. Lovely clean rooms, friendly staff, plenty of tea and coffee in room and all the little extras and an excellent breakfast. Will definately stay there again
I liked the big clean room, the good breakfast and the location.
Bed was a little bit hard.
Was in Glasgow for a hen weekend and just needed somewhere to sleep. I was extremely pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of my room. It was a small single room but it was light, airy and spotless.
The single room I was in was very small so i was glad I wasn't spending any length of time in the room
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. My single room was more than adequate & very clean. Plenty of tea/coffee etc, flat screen TV and lots of hot water in the en-suite shower. Excellent choices for breakfast, well cooked to your preference.
There is nothing to dislike it provides everything one could require from this class of hotel.
- cleanliness - fridge and coffee/tea making facilities in the room - very nice and helpful staff - calm and pleasant location near Botanic gardens - at walking distance to University of Glasgow Campus and Byres Street with plenty of restaurants and shops
- no fresh fruits or vegetables for breakfast - the smell of bacon, sausages and eggs being cooked/fried at 7.30 am in my room and actually everywhere in the hotel
Staff, location, cleanliness
Situated in a quiet area but very close to shops and public transport. Close to city centre. Ideal for someone travelling without a car.
Parking looked to be at a premium but as I didn't come by car I didn't investigate the parking, I would need to check that more closely if using a car next time.
Ideal location for west end, next botanic gardens but on very quiet rd. Our room was large and recently decorated, comfy bed, lovely shower. Patio doors onto a sunny courtyard with tables and chairs. Private car park at rear but also free street parking at front.
That it was central to local amenities, ie shops , restaurants and bars , also for buses , underground subway etc ,
very close to the Botanic Gardens, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable chairs, quiet, nice bathroom
Excellent location in heart of west end but in very quiet road overlooking river and botanic gardens. Room was spacious, comfortable, fresh and very clean. Fab shower. Patio doors opened onto the terrace which we had to ourselves for our 3 night stay. Free car park at rear for 8 cars which was never full. There is also free street parking to front of hotel. Really good price for this part of Glasgow. We did not book breakfast as there are so many dining options within a few hundred yards. Breakfast at the fabulous Oran Dor is highly recommended ( huge breakfast for £5.25 or just a bacon roll for £1.50).
Staff. Nice place around such as the botanic garden and 20min far from city center using the bus.
A little noise in the floor rooms.
Bathroom needs updating
Quiet area and friendly staff. Clean and good breakfast.
Clean, good breakfast, just by the beautiful Botanical Gardens.
Quite far from city centre. Next to a tube station.
Receptionist attitude right from when we checked in wasn't great, no smiles, no greet, no welcome, not personalised at all , I had my wee one with me and she didn't give her a smile, she wasn't welcoming at all, next day when we checked out she took the keys right straight from the door, not a good experience at all.
Quiet location !
Street parking !
Self catering flats were very well equipped indeed
Nothing at all
In a superb location close to the museums and restaurants.
The rooms are big and cosy, I love the high ceilings. The woman at the lobby is very helpful
