Original room so small you couldn't walk past the foot of the bed. We asked to be moved and the next room wasn't much better. The en-suite was tiny and the loo was so close to the wall that anyone with a weight problem would struggle to use it! The sink was blocked and the bathroom door wouldn't close. We had arrived in the room after dark but in the morning when we opened the blinds we discovered that there was scaffolding in front of the bedroom window. This in itself wasn't a problem, however, we were not warned that the scaffold workers would be working on a Sunday morning so it was a bit of a shock when a man walked right past our bedroom window. I'm just glad that it was only my husband who was partially dressed!!
The overall appearance of the hotel and the location.
The attitude of duty staff.we made enquiries re text messages we had received about complimentary breakfast we didn't receive an appropriate answer just that we weren't eligible for it!!!Also arrived back late after show to an absolutely freezing cold room.Read manual re control panel for warm air only to discover it wasn't working!!Had a very uncomfortable cold night,We were not happy!
Close to Euston station; but quiet.
Good location nr. Euston. Recently decorated rooms.
Very small cupboard. Daft bathroom door that doesn't close properly.
Staff were friendly, efficient and sincere
Noisy room- although I asked for a quiet one- very hot duvets- had to take it out of the cover and sleep with just the cover on top.
It's always a good sign when you walk into your room to the faint smell of new paint. The room was compact, but well decorated with a good bed, TV and a Nespresso machine (nice touch!). A comfortable bed well provided with bedlinen and a wet-room style en-suite.
I only stayed one night, but for longer stays, my room's wardrobe would have been far too small to take even a single person's clothes.
Very close to Euston which was convenient to me
The location was perfect - I travelled from King's Cross, Euston and St. Pancras stations during my trip, and the hotel was a few minutes walk from each. The room was small but absolutely fine since I was on my own, bathroom was clean and functional, and the towels were lovely - much bigger than I normally find in hotels.
The mattress was a bit harder than I like, but I prefer them softer than many people.
Ease of registering and being able to leave our luggage before and after our visit. The staff were all very helpful and polite, everything was clean, bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and excellent value for money.
Several days prior to arrival I had requested that bedding in all three bedrooms I had booked be hypoallergenic as we all suffered from allergies. I was told this would be done, however central reservations obviously did not pass the request on as when we arrived in the bedrooms at 10pm all pillows and duvets were feather and we had to wait to have them changed.
A convenient good value night's stay before an early morning Eurostar. Staff helpfully stored cold food in fridge overnight.
I stayed with my cousin for 2 nights. When we checked in, we were given only one key - we weren't asked if we would like 2 keys. I called the hotel in the following afternoon and asked to let my cousin into the room as she was to come to hotel earlier than me. The staff who answered my call assured me that she would be. However, my message was lost and was not passed onto staff on night shift. As a result, my cousin who arrived the hotel at 10pm was not allowed into the room and was forced to wait in the lobby till 12.30am-ish for 2 and a half hours until the hotel got hold of me on the phone. I was at Royal Opera House since 6 and my phone was off till then. I was very upset and disappointed with the service we received at the hotel.
The decor, cleanliness, comfort and location were all excellent!
QUIET! spotlessly clean. room was smallest I have ever slept in but was perfectly adequate. perfect location and low cost
having to leave a deposit (I've never had to do that anywhere). voucher for free breakfast emailed late on the night I arrived and so couldn't use it.
Helpful, cheery staff who updated us on the weather situation back home, within walking distance of British Museum and other places we needed to go to, free wi-Fi and the comfiest hotel bed I have ever slept in - what's not to love! Was able to leave luggage for the whole day - excellent service.
Clean, comfortable, and (for London standards) relatively spacious rooms in a prime location. St Pancras is right around the corner, as are the universities. Had a room on the back side, which was nicely quiet, despite being in such a lively location. Finally: very friendly and helpful staff. I would book here again.
Location, service, cleanliness, safe area, appearence
Room very small
The size of the room and the general comfort was good
Was the shower safe in terms of no slip mat in bath? Amount of tea/coffee was a little mean
The location, the service. Bed is good.
The table is too small for a laptop. This is bad for business trip.
I was very happy with the accommodation and facilities made available to us.
I wouldn't say "didn't like" but it would have been nice to have some drawer space to unpack our cases as we were staying for 5 nights and had been living out of our suitcases for the 2 weeks prior to our arrival. Also, no fault of the hotel, but they were doing renovations and one evening we got back quite late to find our window, which opened up to the scaffolding, was open! Nothing taken so didn't report it, but it took a while for the room to warm up.
Bed is incredibly comfortable; hard to leave it!. Good selection of whisky in the bar (not cheap though!). Location to Eustion station
Refurbishment works are going on and this is not obvious when making a booking. To hear work going at 9am on Sunday morning is very poor. Nobody wants to hear banging and drilling from you're room. Also there is a 50 pound security deposit which was not obvious during the booking process; poor form!
The room was very nice, bed was huge and very comfortable. Loved the walk in shower in the bathroom as well
Just a shame that there was scaffloding for a view, but couldn't be helped
Superb value (at discounted rates); Bloomsbury location; mini-fridge (in deluxe rooms)
Semi-transparent bathroom doors can be a bit startling if you are not used to them.
The quilt and pillows are very comfortable. Location is opposite the Euston station, very convenient. Staff are helpful.
The bathroom is too small and lacks any device to place toothbrushes, personal belongings and to hang towels and clothings which is very inconvenient.
Excellent location. Staff very helpful. Room very good.
Nothing to dislike.
More expensive room but worth the extra space and king size bed. Staff kept our luggage safe next day whilst we went for lunch before travelling on. This was a great help. Location is ideal.
No porter on hand.
