Ideally located for London’s West End, this Townhouse hotel is close to Earl's Court and a 2-minute walk from the Tube. Individually decorated rooms feature high ceilings and marble bathrooms.
Score from 1686 reviews Good
Good location, comfortable bad
* paid and extremely poor WiFi, virtually no WiFi; * very expensive and poor breakfast, a best option is to have breakfast at a pub/restaurant near Gloucester Road tube station for half-price; * no sound proof doors. If unlucky with neighbors, you will get problems.
No free wifi
Small sink back aching old bed low shower and so ....
got a decent deal, good location between Gloucester Road and Earls Court
Room tiny, poor insulation so I could hear everything happening left and right.
Everything inside the room
The staff's friendliness
The small room
Rooms lighting Bed comfort
The entrance and reception looked very inviting.
Having booked a twin room I was placed in a what can only be described as a store room with 4 beds placed willy nilly. The entrance to the room was old and tired with shabby carpet and a wet paint sign up. Everything inside the room was crooked, with the heating system, the TV and door handle not straight. The grouting in the shower looked like a rush job. My only regret was that I didn't complain. We paid 5 pounds for Wifi only to discover that we had no reception being down in the basement. Definitely would not recommend this Hotel.
Price and location
Paid wifi Paid storage Paid average breakfast Noise from corridor
Close to underground station
Paid 100 pound for a room to Be in basement wallpaper in room hanging off and shower falling apart
The room was clean and tidy, and the shower room was modern.
Paid for a deluxe room and had to go to reception to double check it was actually a deluxe and not a standard double - room very small and cramped, only 1 bedside cabinet as not room for two!
corridor carpets were filthy.....totally unacceptable Shower head broken and only provided scalding hot water Reception never answered phone Basement room was far too hot air conditioning didn't work Such a shame this hotel has been left to deteriorate so badly
They understand what travellers need and deliver this, albeit without frills.
Furnishings were obviously old.
Location of hotel
Room small. thin walls meant some noice from next door.
Nothing at all, no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Shower is designed for hobbits. You will be showering with the shower curtain clinging to you. Toiletries are the awful sachet kind. Water temperature is difficult to control. Walls are paper thin, you will hear the neighbours and anyone in the hall. Room is tiny. Layout is terrible. TV oddly bolted hanging over the side of shelf.
Wifi from my moderm was blocked form being used in the hotel there by forcing guest used the hotel wiffi.
The proximity to underground and the location was quite good.10 minutes walking from Kensigton gardens and 20 from Hyde park.
Room very clean, everyday new towels and almost everyday new linen that was great for a hotel! Staff were ok. Great location very close to the Early's court station for me was the best, cause I used to go everyday to Oxford street and it was very good! :) Also the hotel bar was great, good food and drinks and a guy that works there very friendly! :) I recomment and would go back in the future! Ps: I just think they should provide free wi-fi in the rooms. :)
Very noisy in the morning! Outside the room! Please don't ever take a room next to the door that they keep the cleaning stuff!!! It is very noisy, also some people had no respect and were talking loud some nights and mornings in the corridor! They don't hold the doors and let go making noise and annoying who are sleeping next door! The only complain was that because the rest we liked. Ps: one more thing, they should change the shower, was not good and later at night the water used not be very hot!
Great location near Earl's Court tube station; staff were friendly and helpful; room was clean, though very basic.
Very small room with no where to store bags; smell of cigarettes in the lobby due to people smoking right outside the entrance.
The staff were very pleasant. The hotel is situated very close to Earls Court tube making it accessible to get around London. Near to the main high street which offers restaurants, shops etc. Hotel room was clean. Very basic room with no frills. Ideal for a night stop over & I feel if just wanted to use as a base to just use as sleepover for a few nights after sightseeing then it is great. The good price reflects the room considering it is in a great location. I would use again for stopover only again
Not a lot
the fact that at 1.28 the room was booked out again and a man came into our room. the fact that we booked a twin and was given a double. Told it was an upgrade and room had no window. Shown other rooms which had sheets and blankets - totally unhygenic - thought all hotels had duvets Could not move in bathroom I could go on. Complained - no one has bothered to come back to me.
Good location, handy for tubes and buses and nearby eateries. Friendly and efficient reception staff. Adequate, clean single room, with a comfy bed, and at a good price.
Room too small for a chair or a suitcase stand! No control of heating/cooling, and rather cold overnight. Very poor water pressure. Expensive Wi-Fi.
not a lot!
dismal basement tiny , awkward room VERY COLD..NO HEATING
Loved the location...very convenient for any traveler visiting and moving about in London
I didn't like the fact that they advertised they had internet but it was not available in my room. I paid for internet but could not get it in my room (which happened to be in the basement (could have been the problem))...had to go to the lobby and pay each time I wanted to get access - VERY inconvenient - also the staff acted very surprised to hear this although I consistently heard other guests complaining!!
The poor service received from a guy named Raza in handling a complaint about a loud noise in the room. Very rude and abrupt. Failed to listen to reason. Eventually accommodated but then the shower head didnt work in water clogged in bath.
