Amber House  

Amber House was situated 10 mins walk to the centre of York. It was lovely and clean very comfortable. The breakfast was enjoyable and all produce was local.

I couldnt find anything i didnt like about Amber House.

John and Linda were lovely. They were very accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows perfect.

We could hear the couple in the next room when they used the en-suite.

We had a lovely super king size bed its was the let comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The owners were lovely and breakfast very nice. Didn't have to walk far to York town centre where there was lots of offer for all ages.

amber house was lovely very welcoming and would recommend anybody to stay there great value also

Wonderful owners Fantastic breakfasts Little touches in the rooms, such as cotton wool pads, make up remover which was great as I forgot mine! Couldn't have asked for more!

Access to a lounge area is all I old suggest - we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Very close to York centre, friendly owners nothing was too much trouble, clean spacious rooms and lovely bathroom. Breakfast superb

The full package, the room was great,staff excellent,breakfast great. The proximity to York & free parking. Will stay here again on next years visit.

Amber House was small and intimate, very comfortable and the room was imaginatvely designed on a Chinese theme. The bed was first class! Linda and John were wonderful hosts and delivered a fabulous breakfast to keep you going all day. I will be going again.

It was the overall relaxed atmosphere and comfort. Even the point of replenishing bottled water, biscuits etc. showed they wanted to go the extra mile. The position was terrific for the City Centre and even better for the Football Ground.

Nothing really. The basin area in the bathroom was tight and the slow draining bowl a bit annoying but hardly of any great importance.

Staff were friendly and location is great, walking distance to city centre and attractions. The room and facilities are clean, well decorated and comfortable.

from the minute we stepped thro front door we were made welcome. lovely touches in the room, hand cream, cotton pads usual tea and coffee making facilities but also fruity teas and bottled water

Good position, within walking distance of city centre, parking space at no extra cost. excellent cooked breakfast, as well as toast and cereals available. early check in time.
