Lovely view from the room, great food, friendly efficient staff.
Breakfast was excellent. The room was lovely. The staff were friendly. Beautiful location.
The walls were a bit thin meaning we could hear next door's TV, people talking and someone snoring in the middle of the night!
The room was beautiful. We paid extra for an upgraded room and got room 12 at the front of the hotel. It was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was lovely and very spacious.
The only problem was that we had to leave at 7.30 and breakfast didn't start till 8.30
Great location, incredible views.Ultra comfortable beds.Best of all the food! Stow fords battered haddock is just perfect !
Relaxed and friendly Great food Log fire Super clean bathroom Interesting location Easy parking Great bed
Good combination of free house for locals and inn for cotswold tourists. Comfortable in all aspects. Staff and owners quite friendly and engaging.
Staff service - friendly and helpful, spotlessly clean everywhere, lovely location, and tasty breakfast with good range of choice
Narrow choice of vegetarian evening meal options. The later breakfast time at weekends.
Nice old bar area.
Room was 'fusty' and smelt stale. Bathroom tiny, no bath & window pane has been broken quite a while. Some love and attention required to earn 4 stars...
The restrant was reeally friendly for family with small children. The dishes also tested good as well. I really apprecite a hotel staff to sent me something I left in my room.
Room and furnishings excellent. Very good food. Very helpful staff.
Lovely, quiet location. A friendly, welcoming and comfortable Inn. Excellent staff. Excellent food and a wide range of menu options. Arrangements for a family dinner party for 18 people from various parts of the England, Eire and overseas were exactly as requested. Three other family members stayed overnight and share these comments. As a child, many years ago, I was brought up not far from this location and know several local hotels and Inns. I have stayed at the Amberley Inn twice in recent times and will do so again despite the long journey from the north of England.
Only one thing: A light over the mirror above the washbasin in the room we occupied would be an improvement .
Good and friendly staff if not a little laid back! Breakfast very nice but no fresh fruit on the third morning of our stay we also had to search for the marmalade. We had dinner on the first night and the food was good. We enjoyed our stay at The Amberley and would certainly return to this lovely part of the country.
The noise of the traffic early in the morning hotel very close to the road.
Very obliging staff
The room. Too hot and cramped
Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome from the staff even being shown to our room by the duty manager. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable and the WIFI signal was superb. The dining experience was very special and the hardest part was making our selection from the mouth watering choice offered by the a la carte menu. Breakfast too offered something for everybody from something light, haddock, kippers or a full English. In summary, we can only describe our stay here as one of the most pleasant we have had and would wholeheartedly recommend the Amberley Inn.
Bedrooms small, but OK except one room did not have a wardrobe only hooks to hang your clothes
Excellent food, all locally sourced.
Very nice room, excellent service and a really good breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
Food good Staff attentive
Room location!! no assistance offered for help with luggage. No wardrobe to hang clothes properly, poor drawers. No hooks on door in bathroom No handle on bath Headroom too low ? Instructions re fire on back of bedroom door! Where is emergency exit for guests on top floor in cottage?
all was fine.
The room The breakfast
You need your own transport. Inn at the top of steep hill
Great location for scenery, the owners Trevor and Jane are most welcoming. The staff are very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good, both the breakfast and evening meals, with a good selection, most of which is sourced locally. We would certainly return, and thoroughly recommend a visit.
Location, Bed , Bar , Ambiance , Food
The dinner portions could have been larger but perhaps that's me being greedy
The room was adequate but such small shower and bed only double. Breakfast was nice but did not get what we ordered
Our English breakfast did not include the elements we asked for . I over heard others in dining room having similar issue
