The Amblehurst Hotel  

Clean room. Allowed to leave car in rear car park even though we arrived before room was ready.

Hotel seemed like a travel lodge 30 years out of date, it was very run down, more like 2* rather than the 3* it is advertised as. Receptionist needs to attend a course in customer service, they also claimed the card facility to pay was down, so everybody in the hotel had to pay cash. Long wait to book in and equally as long to book out. Television in bedroom was the tiniest I have ever seen, shower was feeble, bathroom smelt, and bath panel had a large crack down it, towels were frayed. Mattress was lumpy. Taxi ride to Old Trafford was £16 each way.

Staff were friendly, private parking.

The quality of the room was poor for the price being asked (holes in sheets, no plug in sink, not particularly clean). Caters for football coaches too which means a very noisy night before match day!

Excellent location situated on a main road, but we had a room at the back so it was very quiet. Lovely clean hotel, friendly, helpful staff, clean bed linen and towels. I found the bed too hard for my liking and the pillows a bit flat but that wouldn't put me off staying at The Amblehurst in the future.

I choose to stay in the Amblehurst because of it's nearness for family reasons. The rooms are clean and attractive and the hotel itself is a lovely building.

It is a pleasant hotel, ideal for access to the city. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The only issue was the number of towels upon arrival were insufficient for two people and the following day, although the used towels were removed they were not replaced, resulting in a visit to reception

The receptionist was friendly and very helpfull. room was very basic but clean and comfortable. The dining room decor was lovely and the breakfast, apart from the cheap horrible sausages, was very good.

Bar staff miserable.

ITS HANDY FOR THE FAMILY WE VISIT, GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY,AND COMFORTABLE

COULD DO WITH A FRESH COAT OF PAINT,BUT I WAS STILL HAPPY WITH THE HOTEL.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. it was relaxed. it was ideal for visiting old trafford.

Sjarmerende arkitektonisk både inni og ute.Very Old English Style!Veldig hjelpsomme,hyggelig personale som oppfyllte mine ønsker.Svært sentralt I forh.til mitt behov.Følte jeg var omgitt av en fredelig atmosfære mitt I Sale sentrum!Hotellets bakhage med stoler,bord,parasoller var en liten "oase",men litt "avblomstret"i slutten av sept.Herlig å kunne nyte godt drikke under et stort,gammelt lerketre og få besøk av ekorn!Gode middager til ok pris.Jeg skal tilbake dit I oktober!

Kunne ønsket at frokost var inkludert I pris pr.døgn.Litt dyr(£9.99).Sengene kunne vært bedre.Savnet hyller I klesskap.Bakhagen burde vært bedre ivaretatt,men antar det er relatert til årstiden.

Goede locatie nabij trainingscomplex Manchester United, aardig personeel, niet duur

- men wist niet waar je fietsen kon huren, alles is zeer verouderd en veel was aan herstel toe (wat men ook keurig deed als je daar om vroeg), de gang stond steeds vol met spullen van de schoonmaaksters en de ruimte waar zij zaten was steeds het eerste wat je zag, geen visitekaartje

The location to Old Trafford football ground was excellent as we were within a short walking distance to the metrolink which ran between Altrincham and Manchester Piccadilly, and a JD Wetherspoon where we ate before attending the football match. The free car parking was an additional bonus because we were able to leave the car securely parked and use the public transport. The bathroom was modern, white and clean and the bedroom was well equipped with a TV, hairdryer, and even had a trouser press. We had the continental breakfast which, again, was excellent. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We would definitely use this hotel again.

We hated the black paint which was everywhere, the doors, skirting boards, window frames and sills, headboard and even the radiators. This made the room look cold and dark. A shame because this was the only thing that detracted from the very adequately priced pub cum hotel.
