Everything OK, Bar and reception staff friendly and efficient. Room basic but comfortable.
Not very well lite, easy to pass on the main road.
Toilet seat was broken, Bath panel had multiple cracks Shower pressure was very weak
I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE AMBLEHURST ESPECIALLY THE BATHROOM AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS OR ANYONE WHO ASKED WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN SALE?
Noise all night
Exterior looked welcoming. Very Spacious Lobby and Bar Areas. Very Clean Rooms.
My Card Number and CVV number were taken at reception and written down which I found alarming! They explained that it was in case of damages. I've never had my CVV number kept at all and my bank are still very concerned. With all the numbers on my card nothing is preventing someone from using my card or cloning it! Prevented me from getting a good night's sleep in this hotel desperately in need of refurbishment. Dated interior. Not double glazed. Broken window latches, meaning anyone could have climbed onto the van parked directly below my window and let themselves in! TV was too small and about 12 feet away so couldn't watch it unless I was sitting at the table it was on. The Shower was designed for people under 5'4 as I'm 5'10 and had to squat underneath it to Shower. I could go on.
The Amblehurst is a rambling old hotel; a bit shabby round the edges with plenty of character. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bar is reasonably priced and there's plenty of parking. The dining room is worth a look even if you're not dining, for the stately decor. Other plus points are friendly staff, it's on a main bus route and there are a couple of good local restaurants if you don't fancy dining in.
The wi-fi has to be paid for. It's not dear, but when you can get it free in many places including on some public transport it seems a bit old fashioned. I'm not a fan of synthetic pillows, but that's just my own preference.
Convenient, good parking. Good bar
Room was hot and windows did not open.
Location Price Free parking
Wifi was good
Walls a bit thin if you get my drift..
The bed was fairly comfy
They had smoking rooms (illegal) They didn't have an iron All we could hear was loads of arguments and noise all night, it was like living on the bottom floor of a tower block The pictures did not represent the hotel well at all which also made it hard for us to find it It was definitely not a 3 star hotel and definitely was not worth £50 to stay there
Nothing, the day we checked out, the place is horrible worst hotel ever stoped,
The staff did not care, down in the celler where we were, was full of single parent mothers, all taking to each other for hours, durring the night 3.30am more come. Rubbish in the corridor just awful. Can't believe booking . Com use that hotel, never use that hotel again, never ever.

Very noisy! Décor scruffy
One night stay on way to Manchester Airport. Location right new the shopping centre.
Wouldn't stay there again except for overnight...noisy main road outside.
THe Amble Hurst is a budget hotel which is reflected in the quality of its accommodation, that said, if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep itonight represents reasonable value for money
Size of room for money
Wifi should be available all over hotels these days as part of price not extra
Chambermaids did an excellent job. Liked the fact that the heating could be turned on even in summer. Ididn't drive but the parking arrangements looked good.
Decor a bit tired. Could do with an overall repaint and decoration. Crack in the sink. I thought the charge for breakfast was a bit steep but cheaper options in Sale were very close. Television a bit small.
Staff were nice
Hotel was so unclean room toilet was not cleaned, hair stuck to wall and toilet unflushed when we arrived
The bar was open very late and showed sport. There was good atmosphere. Room and bathroom were very clean and always plenty of hot water.
A very minor issue: When we asked for a taxi they just gave us a number. I would prefer if the staff called and booked the taxi for us when we requested it.
near to my morning destination
people coming in and out all night, noise from neighbouring rooms, being charged for breakfast not had
Bed was comfy. Tv worked fine. Decor was ok.
Shower power was terrible. Took me 15mins to have a proper shower. The bed isn't a double it's two pushed together. Toilet kept making weird noises, especially when flushed.
Not far from town centre,pubs,restaurants
Hotel looks nothing like its photo's,very shabby needs major decoration
The booking And check in was very easy. Staff really friendly and very helpfull even though we only stayed one night would definitely recommend you and use you ourselves in the future.
