- Wifi was goood - Bed was comfy - Room clean and tidy - Coffee machine was a delight - area hotel was in near everything we needed to be near
- small tv for our family room we were in but didnt really watch it much so wasnt a massive put off - Distance to car park further away than expected and at night wasnt very ideal due to the very dark and unlit lane we had to walk up to get back to the hotel
Great sized family deluxe room. Comfy bed, great shower, well appointed and good (machine) coffee
Ideal location , friendly staff from the restaurant and bar located next door. Very comfortable bed , immaculate room. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
Parking was a 5 minute walk not ideal but wouldn't deter me from staying again.
The location was very central and convenient. The room was clean and modern.
The room was very light and the pillows were uncomfortable.
Location is tops. The Italian Restaurant attached was so helpful & served excellent food. The room was super. Good comfy bed, desk, shower & wifi were all perfect. Top spot for exploring The Lakes region.
Parking is a few minutes walk away only, but this didn't deter us. We'd stay again.
location value clean
No breakfast available Small room No tv remote parking
Location (Ambleside) and the surroundings lake district areas of Cumbria. The room was clean and the shower facilities were excellent. Price cheap. No fuss about payment as it is taken from your account prior to checkout.
Car park spaces have to negotiated (about a mile from the hotel) as the hotel is on a high street. Room was so small there's really not space enough to train a tortoise across the floor. Overall the package was adequate for sleeping and showering which is all we really want on an outdoor climbing or walking holiday.
Access to town & cruise
The room was very quiet because we were located at the back of the building. There were tokens provided for hot drinks which were very welcome and the shower had plenty of hot water. The hair dryer was a nice touch.
The room itself was very small. There was enough space on the wall opposite the bed for a mirror but instead there was a small hand held mirror provided which was not as useful.
Location. Clean spacious modern rooms.
Shower, noisy bathroom plumbing, inconvenience of car park being located at local football club. You only find this out on check in and have to find a street park to check in and get the permit for their spaces at the football club
Great central location. Could see how parking could be tricky, but we were lucky enough to get very close by on both evenings, with the help of parking disc from staff.
When booking this room it was not made clear that the parking avialable was a 7 minute walk away, which makes things dificult when you have heavy bags. There was a steep narrow flight of stairs to climb with heavy bags as there is no lift, which should also be made clear when booking. Otherwise a nice room.
It did not pretend to be a hotel so we were pleasantly surprised to find there were tea and coffee making facilities, comfy beds, loads of towels and lots of hot water. Free wifi throughout was a bonus and location right in the middle of Ambleside was great - a mile walk to the boats for the lake tours....
Just a tip - the place is on the one way system and double yellow lines. The parking is some way away so be prepared - it did not bother us but others with a lot of luggage might.
great rooms close to town.
wifi - poor signal. late night noise from The Lily.
No facilities at all e.g. lounge, bar, reception etc.
Good location, good price and a very nice room Free parking
Coffee machine didn't work on the second floor There was noise from the street late on
Nice hotel, excellent location. Room clean & tidy. Friendly owners. Would stay again and recommend.
Wifi was rubbish
great location, very clean
finding car park half a mile away was bit difficult
Size of room and bathroom fantastic excellent for a family.
No WiFi, too many stairs and little noisy
Ideal location and could come and go as you please
Great location. Free, off road parking. Comfy, cosy bedroom. Free drinks machine tokens. Cleaned daily. Nice shower.
Room 7 toilet flush was faulty and kept making noise for ten minutes after flushing. It didn't bother us but we felt guilty in case it woke anyone else up in the building.
The parking was a bit of a way from the premises.
Location was very good and the rooms were OK. Parking could be a problem as the car park they use is some way away. Good local pubs and restuarants so not being B&B didn't matter.
The entrance hall was very dull and looked like it could do with a paint and new carpet, not very welcoming. The bathroom was small and could have done with more hooks to hang damp towels( maybe on the back of the door). It also smelt damp and after three nights there was a smell from the drains which probably came up from the sink.
