Barrow-in-Furness is just 15 minutes from the Lake District, is close to South Lakes Wildlife Park (the top tourist destination in the Lake District), Furness Abbey, Piel Island and other tourist attractions. And, as the ‘indoor centre for the Lakes’, there’s plenty to do if you’re unlucky with the weather. If you want to go out in the evening, you will find a multiplex cinema, a bowling alley and numerous restaurants within a few minutes’ walk.

The lake district is only a 20 minute drive from Barrow-in-Furness.
There are also many attractions in and around the Barrow area, including:

- Furness Abbey: explore the ruins of red sandstone of this 700 year old site, located in a peaceful valley.

- Piel Island: home to Piel Castle, built by the monks of Furness Abbey to protect their harbour from the Scots.

- Dock Museum: an award-winning modern museum built over an original Victorian Graving Dock, where you can explore the fascinating history of Barrow-in-Furness.

Due to the busy town location of the hotel, it is advised that children under 16 years should not be downstairs after 21.30.
