Amherst Brighton

Lee and Marcus were warm, friendly and very accommodating. I felt welcomed and spoilt. Nothing was too much trouble. Crisp, clean linen and sumptious breakfast! My first choice should I ever visit Brighton again.

We had a great stay at the Amherst. The guys are so helpful & friendly,they make you feel so welcome. The food is excellant and the rooms are spotless & well decorated.The location of the Amherst is perfect for the beach,the pier & marina,and ideal for shopping.There are plenty of restaurants/bars closeby,but you are guaranteed a good nights sleep.All i can say is, "book and see for yourself".

The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel is spotlessly clean, well-situated just off the main coast road and close to town. Excellent hotel and we will certainly stay there again.

Very welcoming, friendly and relaxed. Excellent accommodation (mini-suite) with room to relax and work, not just sleep. Very good location, away from noise of traffic and bars but easy walking distance to centre.

well, really nothing... only clif walk is fab, but hotel itself is the horrid place to stay even for few days; I recommend no to book this hotel anymore;

This is not a hotel, there is no space for a sitting or dining area. The building is extremely narrow and quite dark. My room (double) was very small and the decor dull. It was not worth the price I paid for the night. Amherst is a B&B not a hotel and I would only recommend it if the room was cheaper.

Very friendly and welcoming couple running the Amherst, who offer clean, comfortable accommodation within tastful surroundings. We would recommend the location as it is in walking distance to all the main attractions yet far enough from the pubs when you need to chill.

Although very close to the centre of Brighton Amhurst was very quiet and only about 100 yards from the seafront. Marcus and Lee made us very welcome and were relaxed and friendly, room clean with comfortable bed and brilliant power shower with endless hot water. Good breakfast with option of full English. Would certainly go back

Staff is friendly,when you find them,what is not so easy,especially out of brakfast-arrival time.Breakfast options very limited.was possible to listen people espeaking in another rooms.

Great hosts very friendly and helpful just off the seafront and 10mins for the lanes. Varied choice of breakfast, room nice decor, clean and comfortable. We would have no problems staying there again.

The staff was very helpful and the room was comortable.

The room was in the basement and all noises from above were heard in the room making it impossible to rest.

Lovely, attentive staff who gave us a free upgrade to the Junior Suite when we had booked a Standard Double. Extremely well-equipped room, amazing bed and big windows. Great location just off Upper St. James near lots of bars and short walk to the Lanes/shops. Great breakfast and complimentary snacks in the room. Comfortable, welcoming stay and we will be back!

Pour avoir l'english beakfast au lieu du continental, il faut payer un supplément de 6 GBP par personne non justifié compte tenu du prix déjà élevé de la chambre mains on est à Brighton...

Hotel muy pequeño, tranquilo y acogedor. Muy buen trato del personal. Todo estaba cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle, raro encontrarlo en hoteles de esta categoría. Las botellas del agua estaban incluidas además de las galletas.

La habitación suite es muy completa y aunque el baño es algo pequeño, está perfectamente equipada y la cama es muy cómoda. Los dueños Lee y Marcus son encantadores y nos recomendaron sitios estupendos. Está a 10 minutos andando de la zona de tiendas y restaurantes. Es un bed and brekfast muy recomendable. El desayuno muy bueno y si quieres te lo sirven en la habitación por un suplemento de 4 libras.

No es un hotel sino un bed and brekfast, por lo que fuera del desayuno, no tiene ninguna instalación y tampoco hay ascensor.

Accueil remarquable, décor chaleureux, rapport qualité/prix excellent, proximité du centre ville et des commerces. Un ensemble de prestations qui font de cette adresse un lieu à recommander.

friendliness of the stuff

Love the owners, great service super friendly, just right. Love the super comfy bed. Stayed in one of the mini suite and really enjoyed the sofa / tv area as well as the view from the little table. Love it !
