Amhurst Hotel  

Enjoyed my week here. Jim and staff helpful and kind. Spacious room, comfy bed with clean linen. Facilities good. Close to Train station. Sainsburys nearby. Lovely big garden. Would stay again,

Not at all near either tube station!

The relationship between value and cost was good. It was a fridge inside our bedroom, one small garden behind the hotel, a shared kitchen and free wifi available.

The bathroom was poor

Cheap, cheerful, the man who ran the place was a lovely chap who was particularly helpful, large back yard, bright room. Never had a problem getting into the communal showers, couple of toilets on each level, other guests friendly. Seemed to be a reasonable amount of eastern europeans waving their arms about and smoking amiably in the back yard eating fry-ups in the morning. COnvivial.

Lumpy single mattress, room very small. But at the price that's pretty whingey. No real concerns. Didn't use the kitchens etc - didn't even see them - so can't comment there. Stamford Hill isn't particularly central if you're keen on access to the city, but the Tube is reasonably close and, again, at the price it's sweet.

That's small and really cozy hotel. It's clean and friendly. There is a big kitchen for all the guests (microwave oven, toaster, grill included).

Thin walls and loud door-shuts

The staff are incredibly friendly and witty. They make you feel right at home and have good information to pass along. The accommodation is comfortable and has exactly what you need - no more, no less. The free wifi is pretty good.

The hotel is not expensive. One member of the staff was very friendly and helpful. It has a kitchen.

We arrived at 3.00 in the morning. I apologized politely for that and I had to hear the receptionist sarcastic complaints about being waken up. I wondered why did he accepted working at night? The cleaning was poor or non-existent. They removed the rubbish regularly. We stayed a week and they changed the sheets and towels the day before leaving! I asked for toilet paper for my room and instead of taking it there, the cleaner gave it to me in the kitchen. I didn't find much sense in that.

residents of the hotel's location district are suspicious people. So I recommend the hotel only for group of friends

Price was good for London, and staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great for my purposes.

Room was a little cramped and bed wasn't most comfortable ever.

Jim, who welcomed us, was very friendly and really accommodating. Extremely helpful, couldn't have wished for a nicer person to deal with us.

No soap, shower with very limited pressure

They did not have any hot water available. and the staff was rude about it.

Some rooms have thin walls. Cable t.v. was unimpressive and static. Very basic

For a quick stop over for a night out in the capital it did the job, reasonably easy to get to via tube and a quick train stop to Stamford Hill station. Very basic but for the money its hard to find fault.

Great Manager..... friendly .. a good guy..... hot shower, warm cozy room, fridge in room, kitchen to use...i heated some ready meals. bed excellent.... for the price a bargain....def reccomend!!

Diffficult to find anything positive to say

Bed was very uncomfortable,thin mattress, well used. Toilet, shower and sink dirty. Toilet would'nt flush. Mouse traps in bedroom and toilet.

Wos there Fridge.

Wifi dont work all days. Bad dont have nipper. Difficult travel to stansted airport from early morning.

I booked a room with ensuite facilities, on arrival there were no facilities in my room. I was told the toilet was just next door....that is not ensuite! Under a cupboard in the room were rodent boxes and food wrappings under the bed!!! It was filthy!
