Amsterdam Hotel  

The whole package, staff excellent, location great, lovely hotel. Be warned very loud club next door if you dont like banging house music this it not for you however we loved it. Cant wait to return a real experience.

Parking can be a bit dodgy get down there as just before lunchtime.

The bed was way too small for a boutique room. Needs to be a King size.

Great place, very clean, comfortable bed, great location. I would recommend to anyone who fancy a bit of a different break. Brighton is unique in itself but this place is spot on. We stayed there on May Bank Holiday weekend. I decided to pay that little extra and booked room with a balcony. It happened that weather was brilliant and we spent most of the time in the evening sitting on the balcony watching world go by, amazing!. Staff were very attentive and we had no problems what so ever even with leaving our luggage behind after the check out, big bonus as we could spend the rest of the day just wondering around and not worrying about the luggage. Breakfast was fantastic, continental but great. My hubby was really pleased when he saw a jar of Marmite, waiting for him on the table, love it or hate it  I would definitely stay there again.

The only negative comment about the hotel or rather cleanness of the balcony. It is a shame as the room was spotless and those empty beer cans and cigarettes’ buts did spoil the look and the high standard of the hotel!

The warm welcome on arrival, the friendly and helpful staff. The lovely room with a fantstic view. The bar is beautifully decorated and the outside area a perfect place to chill on a nice day. The breakfast was good and the food menu is varied and reasonably priced. Ideal for a mid- week break.

There was nothing we did not like about the Amsterdam Hotel. At first we were slightly concerned that this is a gay-friendly hotel but our concerns were unfounded as every member of the team running the Hotel and Bar were friendly polite and professional. We will stay there again

Good sized room & bathroom - clean comfortable & quiet

Breakfast in the bar was ok but for the price I would have thought that the cooked breakfast could have been offered as an inclusive part of the stay.

Staff were absolutely brilliant, we were attending a wedding so they allowed us to check in early so we could get ready in our room and they were more than happy to call us a taxi to take us to the wedding venue! When we got back from the wedding we had the munchies, so I called the reception desk and they recommended several nearby take aways we could use. We also had vouchers for a continental breakfast which was very good, there was a selection of cereals, breads and croissants aswell as fruit. Tea, coffee and fruit juices were also available.

Sound proofing in the rooms could be a little better but as its a fairly small building, you kind of expect to have a bit of noise

Room was small. Stairwells and passageways a bit cramped. Photographs of the hotel make it look more grander than it is. At first I was shocked. But the place grew on me.

Location overlooking wheel & pier. Car parking on road for £7.50 for 24hours(resident parking permit) Clean and Comfortable.

sea view - staff were helpful and friendly - bed had crisp clean linen - towels were clean - breakfast plentiful and tasty.

standard of the bathroom/wet room let the room down,the vinyl floor was stained and should be cleaned to remove the ground-in dirt.

Brilliant location, right on the seafront. One of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Extremely clean. Staff were very friendly. By far the nicest hotel I've stayed in and for the price it was a complete bargain

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and it was a great stay

The rooms are very noisy and you can hear the neighbours come and go and them plodding around in their rooms.

Excellent customer service, the staff were willing to go out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay and we even got a free upgrade.

Excellent staff, great location, nice bar at the front and they even upgraded us to the penthouse. Very relaxed too, great atmosphere.

Not like is too strong a word, but breakfast was pretty average and the full English breakfast does cost extra. We paid the extra for it, but thought it ok at best. In addition, we were not given a choice ie sausages or bacon, extra egg, beans or no beans etc, it was just served. Our room was pretty chilly and we had to ask for an extra heater, but again not a major problem.
