Great location (wedding party at Sea Life so couldn't be closer) Nice view down side street towards the sea Attic bedroom was simple but had everything we needed
Shower had just a trickle of water and a manky curtain Very expensive for what it was but that seems to be the going rate
The hotel is above and next to two night clubs, one is the subject of a dispute over noise - the other is the hotel bar itself (self styled as "venue" which could mean anything). Avoid unless you are a clubber, stag or hen party or suffer narcolepsy
they helped as soon as they could
room above the bar was nice but noisy next day we have changed the room, I know it cant be helped being above the bar but they were really helpful
Room was tidy staff was polite and helpful
Pier closed at 2000 room was a bit shade hot
Location was fabulous and hotel extremely easy to find. Parking easy in local streets and a bargain at £7.50 for 24 hours. Easy walking distance to all the shops, bars and restaurants. The Continental breakfast the next morning couldn't be faulted with very friendly service and a great view of the Pier. What is not to like!
The window in the twin room was a bit rattled with the wind off the sea, but we wedged a towel in the corner of the blind which did the trick!
The location - right on the front, breakfast was great and with a fab view, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it wasnt too noisy in our room.
Room was too warm, bed wasnt mega comfy, finding parking was frustrating and we ended up queuing for a spot in 'The Lanes', which cost a fortune. Didnt think the price was justified.
Location and view excellent and staff friendly.
Disappointed that there was no bottled water in the room. Wet room good idea but hard to keep feet dry. Very disappointed that we paid £162 for room and only offered a continental breakfast. Sounds negative but will b returning.
Location and good value parking
Room could have been a little bit cleaner for example by the skirting boards was very dirty. Also would love there to have been a row of hooks in the room there was an entry hall which would have been an ideal place and very inexpensive to put up
Very welcoming staff Friendly Good service Central
We had the penthouse which was pricey but lovely Now we know about parking Would probably stay again in future
No name on hotel only an A Which made it hard to find But the worst was no parking Only in side streets
Really good location and sea views. Bedroom was lovely with a balcony and the breakfast was good.
Parking is an issue but you can buy a day Permit Zone ticket from the hotel then drive around to find a space locally which is a bit pot luck! We didn't realise there was a club/bar next door so the noise outside didn't finish till 3am on Sunday morning so not much sleep. The pillows were rather firm too which didn't help.
The room we had was first class I paid a £100 more at the Grand nowhere near as nice!!
Great location, nice staff, decent sized room. Small selection at breakfast but good quality. For half the price of the room it might have seemed relatively good value.
Very overpriced for your you get. £170 for a basic room, basic breakfast, nothing special. Everything old and tired looking.
Location, Staff, Bar & Terrace
Location ....comfort....The staff are amazing....Richards burgers are delicious. Penthouse was perfect. Alex sweetly warmed our croissants in the morning. Loved our stay and will be back one day.
Staff, location, sea view room, breakfast. Helpfulness
Noting.....would stay again
My girlfriend and I booked the Amsterdam Hotel as we were taking part in the Brighton Color Run and the location was ideal. What impressed us the most was we had checked out, took part in the run, came back to get our bags covered in paint and they let us use a room to get showered.. Much appreciated
The staff said we could park however we was later told after I purchased a parking permit that there was never any parking on a weekend I spent all morning looking for somewhere to park then had to pay for a ticket anyway
Staff were friendly, the room was nice clean and comfortable, loved the ensuite shower room. Bed was abit squeaky over all good value for money
Parking bit of a mare !
We had a great time, the staff were fantastic, room was lovely and cleaned every day with fresh towels each day. Fab location.
Position and staff
Size of room, poor bathroom, very tired building, stale smell, outdated facilities, stuffy room, view through windows to very dirty buildings
Great location with a good outside seating area and bar. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean comfortable and well equips. We had a sea view room and had a great view of the pier .
There was noise from the nearby club one night but it is possible to ask for a quiet room.
Good location. Nice breakfast Clean rooms Friendly staff
Very noisy first night from party outside until after 3am - reminded me of real Amsterdam! Bit annoying for me as had early start next morning Very clean but room could have done with redecoration Rather expensive rates for low-frills B&B
location, enthusiasm and kindness of staff, reasonable room size for the price and hotel renovated with taste and care for 'details'. Very pleased with the first floor balcony that also gave a excellent view over promenade , pier and sea.
although, as i was very tiered, it did not bother me to much, the noise outside from 'club' and later an army of cleaners with their vehicles was enormous and lasted till the following mornings.
Lively and friendly!!! Very comfortable room Great sea view excellent location.. All mod cons in the room Very easy going and very friendly staff... Will definitely go back...
