Amsterdam Hotel

Very convenient with very good access to transportation. Staff was very efficient, effective and service-oriented. Room ( a 2-room suite) was very convenient for my needs ( I travelled with a lady-friend and we wanted more space); Very clean - both room and break-fast room. Breakfast was generous and more than adequate. The combination of location/facilities/rate is very good.

The elevator is very small and out-dated and does not reach all floors/wings. The bathroom sink taps are separated ( cold/hot water) which makes it very cumbersome to regulate the water temperature and wash face and hands;

Nice and friendly staff, good location close to metro at the border of Zone 1, modern rooms...

Shower pressure is really low and the room is quite small.

It is a well run hotel and much more. The manageress and staff took particular care of all our requests and we left there truly satisfied. The hotel is clean fresh and delivered all it promised on the website.

We stayed in the suite and absolutely loved the space available. It was larger than we had hoped for with our family of 5. The staff was friendly and very accommodating and I could not imagine a better location for accessing the underground-1/2 block from the well connected Earls Court Tube station (with elevators for our stroller), yet set back off the main street to minimize noise.

The general condition of the hotel was a bit disappointing, especially considering the cost. Without going into too much detail; there was paint peeling off walls in several rooms, a broken garbage can and the toiletry caddy in the bathroom was covered in rust. There was also a leak through one of the cracks in our walls while we were there. That being said, I view the cost of the hotel as fair based purely on the location, size of the rooms and pleasant staff. If something had to be found lacking I would prefer it be some finishing touches to an inconvenient location, cramped quarters or rude staff.

This hotel is very well situated, one minute from the tube station on the Picadilly line. It's a small hotel, and all guests get personal attention. It's my second time at this hotel, and will definitely stay there again. I have seen management going out of their way to accomodate guests with special request for breakfast, birthdays, etc.

The family room we stayed in was ideal for our needs and was cleaned to a high standard each day. The continential breakfast was excellent. The staff were courteous and helpful and the hotel was very clean and tidy. The location was perfect for sightseeing and we will definately use this hotel again.

Close to transport. Staff helpful. Access to internet free.Pleasant room, with tea making facilities.

Small shower. Continental breakfast more than adequate, but needed an alternative to sweet condiments for the toast. A choice of multigrain toast would have also been good.

The lady who manages the hotel is very nice and helpful. The cleaining lady is also very nice. We stayed in flat number three. It consists of two rooms. For the amount of money we paid (124 pounds per night in July), we feel that we got a good deal. The tube stop is just within two minutes walk. There are several food shops and a lot of cafes/ restaurants within walking distance. Earl's Court is adjacent to a very nice area of South Kensignton (ok, formlly it is a part of it).

We did not have hot water in the kitechenette (first its flow was meager then it stopped completely). We told the staff, but nothing was fixed. Overall, it was not a big deal really, as we trully enjoyed our stay and will be glad to come back.
