Amsterdam Hotel7 Trebovir Road, Earls Court, SW5 9LS London (Show map) Very good, Score from 282 reviews“Clean and nicely done out. One of the best hotels for the price I'be stayed in”
Martin,
Southam
On a quiet, tree-lined street, The Amsterdam is 1000 ft from Earl's Court London Underground (subway) Station. It has free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk desk for guests to use. The Amsterdam Hotel combines original features with modern comforts. There is a quiet patio garden, and an elevator which goes to every floor of the building. Some rooms look out over the grounds and others look out over the peaceful street. The large suites have seating areas and kitchenettes, and some have their own balconies. The Olympia exhibition center, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are all less than a mile away. There are pubs, restaurants and movie theaters just a short walk from the hotel. Hotel Rooms: 20

Our room was quiet, spotless and beautifully presented plus being a good size for a London Hotel in this, or higher, price range. The bonus was a french door leading out into a pleasant garden. A computer was provided with free internet access. The location near the tube was excellent. Staff were welcoming and the breakfast was fine, with a range of choices. The toilet flush failed in our room. The management's response was to move us into a more expensive suite and reduced our bill, with an apology. We would recommend this hotel and staff to anyone wanting a pleasant stay in London. We would certainly stay again.

The location is convenient and despite being so central, it is quiet in the night so you can get a good night sleep. The hotel was clean which makes life easier. I didn't like the fact, that for special breakfast wishes (I.E. bacon and eggs) orders needed to be placed the day before; I wish someone would have told me. Breakfast (included) therefore was quite poor.

Very nice staff (especially Judy at the front desk). We were informed after the first night that we had accidently been placed in a smaller room and were given the option of a larger room for the second night (with a balcony). Extremely clean and close to the subway. Rooms were relatively small for price of hotel.

Amsterdam Hotel is an excellent location from Earls Court station, 200 meters/ 1 min walk. Hotel was nice and quite. Everything you request from the staff, they will do their best to accomedate. Our room was spaciuos and clean, and we greatly appreciated that there were other seatings than the beds. Staff was all very friendly and helpfull. All in all a very nice and friendly hotel. Great value for money. The beds could do with a mattress topper. If you go doing summer, it would be nice with a little fridge to keep drinks cool.

We had an appartment with two rooms. The living room was huge, All facilities were working. The bedroom was only 160cm wide. Therefore a "double" bed of only 130cm width. Carpet floor in the bathroom is a strange idea. The photographs on the website suggest a much fresher athmosphere than it really is. Staff serving breakfast in blue lab gloves -- are they cleaning the toilets in between or do they just regard the guests as lab mice? The continental breakfast is a bad joke.

Around the corner from a large Metro station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean. Breakfast selection was rather meager but beautifully appointed. Top floor penthouse was larger and accommodated our family of 5. Room was a bit hot as there was no ac and temperatures were in the 80s while we were there. Fans were provided. Although very clean, the furniture was rather old and worn. Elevator only accommodated 2 people at a time. Breakfast selection meager and at times had to wait for a table. Bedrooms and bed were a bit tight with two adults in each room. 14 year old was on an air mattress on the floor in the living room.

Service was excellent; extremely accommodating. We were in a suite and it felt like we were at home! Three showers basically drained the hot water tank. Hot water wasn't very available after the first shower.

The hotel (or is it a B&B?) is professionally managed, clean, comfortable and very conveniently located near the Earls Court underground station. I was also pleased that the room I had (a single) was not a tiny shoe box like many of the other London hotel rooms I've had. Another pleasant surprise is that there is a (very small) lift in the hotel. The hotel was being upgraded so there was some visible structural work but it did not interrupt my stay. The shower stall was cramped.

The room was warm and clean. The continental breakfast was not at all good. The juice was sugary, the croissants were soggy, the coffee tasteless, and the staff was not available when we went down. They were gossiping with the desk clerk. The shower was broken and sprayed water onto the toilet and all over the bathroom. We were told there as nothing wrong with the shower.

Didn't really like a lot for the money they charged. There was no room to move in the family room. The shower room had a tiny shower that had a curtain that stuck to you while you showered. The two patio doors leading to a balcony on the first floor were not safe as our four year old could have easily walked out and fallen. Continental breakfast had no meats or cheese. We would not return as a family or as a couple.

When we arrived we found that our room was on the third floor, but the lift was broken. However, the attendant carried our bags up for us. We had to carry them back down at the end of our visit though. Breakfast was included. Very close to underground station. Very small room. Breakfast staff were overworked - we were in a hurry and had to wait a long time to be served. Also, we had to drop the key off at reception every time we left which was quite annoying.

Hotel has excellent location, literally 100m from Tube station with a very large range of all types of restaurants/fast food places within 400m of hotel. Also car hire to airport(30m) and serviced laundrette(100m directly across EarlsCourt Rd down Kenway Rd. We stayed with 2 children,7 and 5 in the 2 bedroom Apt on the 4th floor. We arrived early and staff put our bags in our room for us. They were very helpful for the two nights we were there. Apt was a good size, clean, with a separate lounge and kitchenette, and bedrooms were not too small with hairdryer in each b/room. We thought the hotel was excellent value and not too noisy being so close to the main Rd. We will definitely be back. The heating didn't work as well as it should have on the first night but was addressed for our second night. It may need more regular maintenance. Also the hot water cylinder required the children to have a shower at night with the adults to have theirs in the morning - and make sure they are not long ones 'cos otherwise the second person is going to be unhappy.

The staff is super helpful. Location is the major attraction. Breakfast basic but r'easonable. The lift/elevator is very small. It can only accomodate two people at best. Shower curtain does not come all the way to the ground creating a mess in the bathroon. The staff is super helpful. God knows why they have free copies of Daily Mail.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, only a ten minute tube ride away from all major attractions and places to see in London! The hotel is surrounded by many good restaurants a stroll away from the room. The rooms are clean, well maintained and comfortable with wifi included a massive bonus! The beds are comfy and in the morning the breakfast is superb with the option of cooked if you require! The staff and hotel in general is a friendly place to be where they accommodated to our every need!
