Rooms clean staff friendly and helpful
Staff were very helpful room was excellent food was excellent Great entertainment and high standard of cleanliness I would highly recommend here to anyone
Stayed for one night was lovely felt I was getting spoilt with all the little extras ..only gripe is the noise coming from the disco ...next time will check to see what's on r room at the back ..but great stay ...
We decided last minute to book in rather than forego drinks at a meal in a restaurant elsewhere in Portstewart. We had our newborn with us and specified so when booking. The Anchorage phoned immediately to confirm whether or not we needed a cot and to make sure we knew there was entertainment which could be loud. We were aware of this as it was clear when booking but appreciated them checking. We arrived around 11pm and were heartily welcomed by a female door employee ( loved the baby). Room was well equipped and clean. Noise from downstairs wasn't bad at all. Slept very well.
Although breakfast portion size was good we found the quality wasn't as good as expected, the sausage tasted cheap and the coffee was instant even though there was proper coffee making facilities behind the bar! Morning staff could have been a bit friendlier too.
Groups of stag parties making a lot of noise at night
Room is lovely and clean. It's very modern and well laid out. The only downfall was the level of noise. However based on this we got very little sleep so I will not be returning nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.
It states that there may be some noise due to live entertainment. We were placed on the second floor and the level of noise experienced was horrendous to the point it was 2am before we finally got to sleep and that was with my 9 yr old. The whole room shook with the music. So to state there may be some noise is inaccurate. I will definitely not stay at this hotel again
I couldn't say one bad thing about our stay at the Anchorage.rooms were cosy, clean and warm and I loved the robe and slippers!the staff are so friendly, helpful and professional.the food is also excellent.highly recommend this as a place to stay when visiting Portstewart.we'll be back!
Staff were nice. Comfortable beds. Good food in bar and breakfast was very tasty.
The music from the bar was SO loud I could hear each word when trying to sleep
Everything about this hotel was excellent. Very comfortable and clean bedrooms and excellent, good value, food in the restaurant
A great place to stay Room was lovely & breakfast was super
Clean, comfortable, nice decor and a great bar. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
A bit noisy during the early hours but to be expected with a nightclub downstairs.
Breakfast is included in the price. The breakfast menu is excellent with a variety of options to choose from. The staff are friendly and polite and the customer service is phenomenal.
The main doors to the hotel part close early although there is a number to ring the night porter and providing the bar hasn't closed you can access the rooms via the bar. I found this slightly inconvenient although I hadn't long to wait to get back in.
Room was comfortable
Luke warm shower
Nice clean room and the food was excellent
The reception is very poor when booking in the lady behind the desk wasnt very pleasant at all we didn't even get a hello or a smile
Very pleasant place. Nice friendly staff. Good value for money. Food was excellent
Room was a bit small because it had double and single bed in it. Really only enough space for double bed.
Food was lovely. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Noise from nightclub but were aware of this before staying.
On a saturday they have a club night which means club noise to the early hours and revellers staying enjoying themselves even later
Thought the place was really friendly and the atmosphere was great. But if you want a quiet night avoid Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays as they are very lively.
No lifts so you have to access rooms by stairs and some of the doors are quite heavy to open.
Location was really close to sea and town. Room was modern and very clean. Lots of little extras for your use in the room (bottled water, biscuits, toiletries) bathrobe and slippers also provided
Too noisy at nights, loud music to early hours. The boiler then could be heard at a later stage of the night so all in all even though bed really comfy not much sleep was had. They had provided ear plugs but hadn't mentioned them and only discovered them in the morning when we were checking drawers before we left. When wedding on there is no restaurant facilities and you then have to eat in the bar, they do not provide extra tables at these times and there is nothing romantic or nice having to sit on a backless stool at a bar type bench with other customers facing you.
Rooms are of a high standard.
A bit noisy with the night club
Parking can be a challenge.
Very central. The rooms were clean and tidy.
Internet was intermittent at times. Parking is an issue, but if the hotel could advise where is best to park it would help. Didn't like that the restaurant prices rose after 1830, should have remained the same for residents.
Location and food excellent.
I am a blue badge holder and was very disappointed to find we were on the 3rd floor with no lift available.
