The position next to Liverpool St station. Very nice modern bathroom with a proper bath
Breakfast in the dining room not starting until 7.30am
Friendly helpful staff, room ready before 2pm.
I've stayed a couple of times. The staff are attentive and happy to serve. The hotel feels special, classy and relaxed. Rooms are well furnished. Beds comfortable. Nothing not to like
Staff. Location. Service
A family of 4. Expensive for breakfast
We loved everything about the hotel - from the welcoming reception in the relaxing foyer (you're invited to sit down while THEY come to YOU and check you in), personally showing you to your room, to the special attention paid to our needs as a family with a small child, making our stay as comfortable as possible. We arrive slightly earlier than the check-in window but appreciated the upgrade to a king-size bed. The supplies and welcome for the little was also a really nice gesture! It was nice to have complimentary drinks and snacks at the end of our sightseeing. Loved everything about the hotel. Breakfast in the grand setting of 1901 was very nice, worth trying at least once for the ambience and great food, but there are enough small places around if you are up for exploring. We loved that it was so easy to get to from our airport ( London Southend) and was easy to walk to Spitfields Market and Bricklane, but also easy to get into town. St Pauls is within walking distance, are are many other sites. Otherwise the Underground is right there. Despite being in a very central location we did not hear anything of the street noise from our courtyard facing room. From what I gathered from the locals, the neighborhood is near the business district, so is busier during the week with more evening pub visitors Thursdays and Fridays, but is extremely quiet on the weekends.
Hard to think of anything to critique, really! The room was a bit dark but we did not find that disturbing.
I loved the hotel's interior design and style. A unique setup. All in all an experience to repeat.
The hotel is in a good location, adjacent to Liverpool Street Station with easy access to Central London. Being close to the station I was worried about noise, but this was not an issue. The hotel is extremely comfortable, with plenty of character, and the staff very friendly, helpful, and the check-in was easy (you can also check-in on-line if you wish). Nice little extras like free soft drinks from the mini-bar. Very nice hotel. Only point would be we stayed for two nights based on a special offer, we couldn't afford to stay based on normal hotel tariffs.
Location to visit east end
Staff were excellent, hotel has a lovely smell in the lobby, no check in desk was novel, location is good next to Liverpool st station
Breakfast is expensive if not prebooked
the staff are wonderful, the location in brilliant and your only four tube stops to the centre of London, but regardless there is plenty of things to see and do in the East End, Spittlefield market, brick Lane, Petticoat lane and Shoreditch, all of which is on the doorstep, if your feeling energetic you could walk to Islington which is about 2 miles away (we did) or the Tower of London 2 miles in the opposite direction... a special thanks goes to Arina who made us feel most welcome on arrival what an asset to the Andaz this girl is. go on give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
Everything.close to station.
1st night there was a fire drill at 4:40 AM. Apparently it was only a test. They seemed to be knocking on my door non stop, and interrupted me sleeping, on the phone and just relaxing. The bathtub was ridiculous. I just about pulled a groin trying to get in. It is for someone who is 6 feet 4 inches or taller. And it was far too expensive
Bed was comfortable
Pillows very uncomfortable and insufficient sockets. Had to ask for an extension lead for plugging in mobile phone chargers hairdryer and iron etc. More importantly though - the hassle and stress caused by staff being unable to resolve issue around booking.com confirmation of reservation, despite booking.com taking payment of full amount in January this year. Hotel attempted to take 2 nights room charge from her bank card, when it was already accounted for with my credit car. Most upsetting state of affairs, I had to leave a wedding reception to come to the hotel to try to sort out. Staff very slow, unwilling to explain problem. Very disappointed. Breakfast extremely expensive, ate at nearby Patisserie Valerie.
The staff was incredibly helpful, and even though they didn't always know the answers they tried their best. The amenities are great, the room is big (we had a queen bed) free minibar is s plus, the restaurants near by are good, very good hotel overall
For the price the breakfast could have been included, however the free station in the hall (coffee, tea, juices, fruits and cookies) + free wine between 6 and 8pm is great!
The hole say was just lovely, wish we could have stayed longer.all the staff very friendly and very helpful,we will be back. Thanks for a lovely stay.
There was nothing we didn't like, just a bit expensive.
Bed was very comfortable
Room really dark
Great rooms, free minibar, large and clean bathrooms (and fast-filling bath), good (free) wifi speeds, nice staff.
The free soft drinks and juices, comfortable bed and good shower, spacious room for London and well located for City and shoreditch. My husband got surprise room service cupcake for his birthday which was a thoughtful touch
The fire alarm at 2.30am
Love the hotel, the location, the staff, the rooms.
Fire alarm (false alarm) went off at 2:30am in the morning and all we recieved was a written letter saying sorry. The TV didn't work when we got into the room, and the sound system didn't work and both required an engineer to sort.
Location is perfect, suite was as shown on website and therefore outstanding!
Bathroom although adequate was not reflective of such a high-end hotel
Very friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble.
view from room 243 was quite poor
Amazing breakfast Fab hotel Never ever slept in such a comfortable bed it was great
We enjoyed our stay in Andaz. It was absolutely worth the money we spent and the area in which is located is not only plenty of stuff to do in the night but also very well served by both trains and underground.
The location, the complimentary drinks and snacks, the staff friendliness and helpfulness.
